Default rc18r

any suggestions just put the exotech kit together and the steering is so tight the servo cant handle it. in other words no steering at all just gears grinding. i can move it by hand and its has the plastic trimmed in order to rotate fully.

that's awesome Team DP!

I'm glad to see these new products coming out for the 18r. Will there be a front shock tower to match? how does the new shock tower affect the handling? It looks as though the shocks are more upright- and would this shock tower still allow me to run my car at a 4mm ride height? Will there be a front to match?
When will the final version of the Benzino body be available? (and when it's available, pics of the final version)

Sorry about all the questions- I hope to get my 18r ready to do some racing soon!

thanks

No problem on the questions

Yes the shocks are more vertical now than before. The handling is actually better.
We feel though its due to the wing that now doesn't flex when you run at higher speeds and you get better down force.

Right now the ride height is about stock. In the future we might raise the shock mounting holes so a lower ride height can be achieved.

We are making the front as well, hopefully that will be available by late next week.

Then Benzino will be ready in couple of weeks ,alot of modding has been done to the roof line (its alot lower) their is now front ground kit/bumper.

Well get pics up in a couple of days.

Thanks for the interest in our line of parts.

nitsuj2k, I really like the bell crank steering system you have implemented there. How's it working so far, Have you had a chance to test it?

trerc-

I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I need to get a new soldering iron to turn my stick packs into saddle packs. Thanks!

Hello!

After several months I've started to work on my 18r project again. I'm hoping someone here would be willing to help answer a few questions. These questions are:

Does anyone know of steel turnbuckles that fit 18r? I know I could cut down longer turnbuckles, but I've found the hex or non-threaded part used for adjustment is usually too long.

I'm also going to make my own bumper- I've been told to use Kydex (?). Would this material work?

Thanks a lot!
