Thanks alot. I am soooo impressed with the MT I mat just keep it the way it is and get an R. Do any of you have a Mini T? What is your opinion between the R and the Mini T. I would say even though the MT is a truck it blows away the handling on the Mini T. I have a sick Mini T I converted to a buggy I may try and trade for the R. Anyways thanks again.

I need a little help here guys. I've got a brushless 18T and just picked up an 18r on eBay. The thing is bone stock and I've gone through and shimmed the diffs and beefed up the servo saver etc., but what to power it with? I still have a Novak Micro Spy esc that was in my 18T with a Reedy Stump Puller before I went brushless.
I still have the Novak, but what should I pair it up with for the 18R?
I was digging around in the garage and found my Stump Puller from the 18T. I couldn't find anything on Associated's website about pairing up the Reedy Stump Puller with the 18r or gearing charts for the 18r compared to the 18T. Any help is appreciated. On a side note, here's a pic of my 18T.
need help set for my 18r stock. im using mamba 8000kv, 2s 1000mah.what pinion should i use? 12t? spur gear is 55t i think!!!
and also for 3s 2200mah?
I'm running a similar setup in my 18T, but with an 10T pinion and the 60T spur because I'm running either 1/10th scale touring tires or the MT tires.
Keep an eye on your temps, especially with the lipo packs. The 1000mah pack may be just a little too small for the current draw from an 8000. I'm running a Thunder Power 2100, but I've had decent luck with the Max Amps 1550HV packs too. If you overdraw the pack the per cell voltage will drop too low and eventually the packs will puff out. My 18T was a Lipo Gobbler until I got it setup right.
If you are going to run the 3s packs, do yourself a favor and buy another set of diffs and shims to take any slop out of them. I ended up going with the metal diffs because I kept destroying the plastics. Let us know how it turns out.
About two weeks ago I actually had the time to bring my 18r to a carpet track- previously I had been it running in my basement or in front of my house. I like the 18r even more now!
I have read the posts in here saying that the Exotek kit is great, but has anyone ran the stock chassis with the Exotek towers? If so, in what way did it affect handling?.
Here's a picture sample of the stickers for our new body the "Scorrpion" for the 18R.
They will have window stickers, two sets of numbers (so you can have your number on both sides of the truck),
and two "grill" stickers one ford the other chevy.
To get that realistic racing truck look we recomend to change the wheel shafts to RC18T ones .
RC18Tshafts and RC18T rims and tires give it that scale look and great handling while still keeping the tires tucked under the body.
can someone please help me to properly shim my rear diff? Im running a 3cell lipo with mamba/c4 combo and just worn down my first input gear. All help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advanced,
Twisted
when shimming these gears, you want there to be no slop (or very very little) between the gears, without them binding(binding can tear them up just as fast as having them too loose). place the input gear and the diff in as normal, and feel what the play is between them. to adjust them, you put a shim between the bearing and the diff half. this will shift the diff left or right depending on which side the shim is on, ad therby adjust the mesh. keep playing with the shims until you have it perfect

Hi,
Check out the set-up page on our website for using our shock towers with the stock chassis. Worked excellent on asphalt so should be close for carpet.

Great concept Javier! Is the price $8.95 like your Benz body? If so then maybe I need to talk to you about producing my lexan bodys too!
