Thanks! I forgot all about the Assoc website. I'll check it out.
I thought the same thing about the traction.

Kinda went llike this. When we got there thought I'd through the car down as is. Second turn, traction roll into the turn. OK. Back down the steering throw and keep the corner speed up, less brake into the turn. Pretty good I thought.

Back to the pits to check things out, put a charge on the batt. Back out and it was like I swapped the tires for ice cubes. Chased traction rest of the day.

Sauce helped, but I think there's more to be had.

Rob..........

Default Just throwing it out there.

Wouldn't a SC18 be cool? (Especially if AE took that time to redo the platform with a better steering system, slipper clutch, and gear cover)?

Edit: Opps! Wrong 18 platform thread.

I got my 18r yesterday and am not impressed. Hopping there are some easy fixes to my problems. First there is to much play in the steering it will not hold center, not even close. There is some side to side play in the servo saver before it makes contact to the plastic spring like thing. Thinking about taking it apart and seeing if I can improve this. Next one of the wheels is so out of balance it shakes the whole car. Finally the on/off switch is so sensitive if you knock into something it turns off. Switch still looks on but no power. Are these common problems or do I have a lemon? Anyway locally they race here Wednesday at 7:00 stock and mod class. Super stock soon to come.

Mine was the same way out of the box...I took the C-clip off the servo saver and held it with a pair of needle nose and put a lighter under it for a second and it gives it better tension. As for the switch I always cut mine off and splice the wires together. Yu might be able to clean teh wheel slot up with a knife or make sure its tight...
