associated makes slicks for the 18t, why not for the one thats actually designed for the road, the 18r? weird huh?
there was an 18t this weekend at hobby town that was owning cause it had the slicks on. has anyone tried to fit the 18t slicks on the 18r? i know they are much bigger and wider.
I thought that was you.I used park next to you guys,i have the silver tacoma and raced my white and yellow 18r and yellow cyclone in sportsman and my slash.I took my 2.4 reciever out of my slash and stuck it into my 18r so i can be more competitive, the glitching was getting to be a serious issue in 18r spec now its great and using new foam tires and my car set-up better without the traction rolling i'm lots smoother and consistant.I was wondering what happened to you guys,is your brother out there too.I remember my last race with you in 18r spec,we had a good race going but i was using stock rubber and starting to have glitch problems half way thru the race and fell to the back of the pac.Would like to race with you again.Jona, batman, mike are the guys to beat and will not consider myself faster until i can beat them using completely stock 18r no foams as is how they run.A while back when i tried foams for the first time i smoked batman and mike but never raced against jona with the foams on my car but have raced against him with stock rubber and were pretty close till i started glitching again.
hey wuss up man....naw my bro is still in vegas but he didnt go to the last race but he should b at the next race.....im sure they setup there cars right tho....thats true about the foams against jona them but smoked um last race b4 i left... i won the 18r spec class
i also changed out my radio system in the 18r and its way better

Stiffer chassis?? Show off If anything I need to make more spring options.
I know it might me to much, but it sounded good. I would like to see some more springs. Do you have any plans for a swaybar?

I should be ready for the next race, I got CVDs on the way and just finished a body but I wont post it because...well...it is offensive to most of the senses...
back on one of the other rc18 posts someone used the springs from the ae oval shock kit.. cant remember the part number but it was a pack with like 8pair in them all different colors.. each spring was about 2lb different.
might try and look up the part from ae if you are needing different ones for the 18r.

iirc it was the side shocks on the lto cars
VCS springs are about 5mm too long. Raises up the ride height too much for on road. I always end up cutting the springs in half so not a perfect solution.
Well I wanted to give it a little more rally dirtroad ability so Here is what I did. On the Rear where the Body post go, the part that snaps in the hole I drilled that out to except the Ball screw from the shock Easy Works perfect. On the front I removed the screw that holds the body post on and replaced it with a longer 3mm through the shock cap and through the body post mount. It works perfect. Brought my ride height up to 3/4". I tested it Great improvement on the dirt. also still handles great on pavement. I wish they made some dirt friendly tires for this one. need some more post before I can Post Pics.
is any one running a 370 sensorless bl motor in their 18r? im thinking bout getting a bigger 370 bl motor and i would like to know what people are using.
