u should try messing with shock oil and tuning springs....um try softer spring in the front or stiffer springs in the rear to help with the push

I run the stiffer gold in the back and blue up front. I want to try the Exotek graphite shock towers, the geometry is better (at least thats what they say.)

Having used one of these in an R and a B, they dont help at all. They literally make you think your steering is less sloppy by the feel. Going from the DP Draglink then back to normal, I saw no decrease in the performance of the car. Save your 10 bucks!

did u install it right....there will be some trimming to get it to work right, but if u r haveing good luck running the poorly designed stock draglink by all means use it

n e way well i went racing the other night i TQ and won micro mod class, but 18r spec was another story, i qualified 6th in the a-main. i did a lil adjustment b4 the main and for some reason i had absolutly no rear tracition, but it was weird, my car was dialed in the 2 prior qualifiers all i did was stand the front shocks more upright trying to reduce front traction just a lil but it seemed to do the opposite, so its back to the setup board to get it dialed again

That would increase grip up front.

really i thought by making the front shock more up right it would b harder to commpress, therefore wen on-power the rear would squat more giving ti a li more rear traction

Sorry, you are right. I was thinking that I read rear shocks, not front.

OK guys. I've been sucked into the 18r thing. First thing I want to upgrade are the CVD's. (Already done the ESC and receiver.) Who's got the best CVD's out there? I'm assuming MIP but they're so damn expensive. Are any of the others comparable? Also, what's the best place to buy stuff for this little thing. I've found a few small online stores but they seem very limited. They'll have 10 or 12 items and only one thing I need. The next store will have one more thing I need and 10 that I don't. Is there a good place that's going to have the majority of the better hop ups and stock parts so I can one stop shop?

I'll post up a pic once I get my body back from being painted.

toadztoyz.com

So did you end up purchasing a 18R? As far as CVDs, I would only purchase them for the front. I have the MIPs and can't comment on any of the others. Mine are holding up great.

I still have yet to break a part on the RC18R. If you are a good driver, you probably won't have much to worry about.

Do you plan on running stock or mod?

Will you be practicing with us at Pound It on the 9th?

Thanks. How quick are they at getting stuff shipped down here?

Yeah. I was at Hobby People the other just taking a look and just decided what the hell. Had Ray pick up a set of 3 racing tires and Mike's Exotek body for me. He's painting it up right now. I should be there on the 9th. I'm planning on going up to OCRC with Patrick See this Saturday. They're having a full practice day. I'll run either stock or mod. I don't care. I just don't want to rip a dog bone in half if they decide to run mod.
