I think I'm going to get the Losi 7400 setup for my mini-t

can I run a reciever that I got out of my old ruslter, and a servo from a mini LST to complete the conversion, also what would be a better option than the mini LST servo?

Let me just say I have had the 7400 and in less than a week it smoked. sent it back for 6000 system and in one race on carpet oval guess what, went up in smoke. LEAVE ANY LOSI BRUSHLESS ALONE they suck. IMO

'm not bashing the system but I bought the 9400kv Xceliron Brushless Combo and I didnt even get to run it and POOF!! I am waiting for the return box to get it replaced. The funny thing is I am just getting back into Electric and this is my first go around with Losi products. Not a great start. In the mean time I'm gonna buy the Castle creations 5400 kv so I have something to play with. I follow up when I get the new unit.

Was gonna get the Losi setup for my 18T. But after reading this thread, I went with the CC Mamba Micro Pro and 6900 kv setup. Always had good luck with CC stuff running an 1/8th elec offroad buggy. Dunno about Losi, but you just can't beat CC's customer service either.

I had/have a 6800 that I had to send back to them. Because of my honesty I'm paying the $30 for a new one. I was watching the motor temperature, just as always, and it was around 165. I ran three more top speed passes (about 2 minutes), picked the car up, and while in my hand hit the throttle one time while and the motor seized at 245 F. Meh. I can afford $30, but there had to have been some sort of malfunction that wasn't caused by me. They should have it by now to send me the new one.

I already had a spare 4200 that I bought from them (on sale for $26 shipped!) so I've got something to drive still. It's of course noticably slower. But I really like it a lot. I'd still like to get that 6800 back though.

I hate to bash on a company but my experience with LOSI has sucked so far. I have always been a Traxxas guy and have been for over 18 years. There customer service is A+++++ I am new to Mini's, electric, and Losi. I have a good job so when I buy something I want the best. In three days I spent over $600, on a mini T!!!!! The package included the Xcelorin 9400kv. I install all the aluminum stuff, new fatuba servo, radio, and reciever. Install the Xcelorin and it was cooked out the box. I didnt even get one run. Program, POOFNow I have a tricked out Mini T just sitting there. I call Losi which is a 1 hour investment and they say they are gonna send me out a return sticker and replace it. A week later I still have not recieved it. Anyways my story is not all bad. In the mean time I bought a Castle Creations 5400kv. Im running it with a Lipo 3 cell 1250 mah pack and it screams. I think when I get the Xcelorin back Im gonna sell it on Flea bay and buy the Mamba 8000. It kina sucks to cause I like the Mini T and knowing Losi makes it agrevates me cause If I have any problems with it I'm screwed. Anyways my suggestion if you have a Mini T and want to go brushless go with the Castle Creations MamBa!!!!!!!!!!!!
