It does seem kind of ridiculous, as the only tires I've seen last a year are ones on shelf queens.

If you run on carpet....they can last
I know today I toasted a set of taper pins in one battery pack in a parking lot....I had to sneak in the kitchen to boil them off the wheels...

Yup, parking lot asphalt or concrete will toast about anything other than treaded tires, slicks, or foams in no time at all.

Try tennis courts....its a great place to run, especially with several courts side by side so you have a lot of room. Ours use somekind of indor-outdoor covering, they are not bare, slick concrete.
