Default On Road Nats...

Is Fri practice only, or will some Qs take place?
Presumably the 'Detta TC would be placed in Classes 1/2? That being said, in 1, if I'm reading everything correctly, 2C LiPo is not legal? I normally work Sat, so I probably won't be able to make it...but this info would be good to confirm in case I do decide to request the day off. Thx for the time

Friday is practice only...

The Detta TC fits into the 1/18 micro touring classes (stock & mod)

LiPo is legal in the open classes, not the stock classes...

No prob at all... Feel free to email me too!

Dean,

Just noticed that onroad sedans have been extented to 163mm wheelbase x 115mm width this year - it's probably been like that for a while. I'm somewhat disappointed on that one. Maybe it's been discussed before. I suspect this was to open it up for the Vendetta TC. I find this really digs into a class that's been the staple of micro onroad racing for the past few years. However it's the rule and I accept it.

I suspect this would allow us to elongate an xray chassis through either prototyping and widening it by the same token? I guess we could find a crafty way to use the xray m18t pro chassis and working from there? Not much time left to think it out...

One of the reasons I loved the M18 class was its stability over the last four/five years. I haven't had to change the basics of the car to get the new updated flavor car of the year which I dislike about the hobby.

I wished I had seen this rule change from last year earlier on. One should not assume I guess, I unfortunatly did.

I guess we'll see an R4 soon. I hope so. Just not on that weekend! Then it's a bummer for those that don't...

PierreV......I too would have to agree with you. Yes, the rule is written that way for the detta touring car to race with the M18 in the same class, so I somewhat reluctantly have accepted it too. Size wise, the detta touring car is "measurably" pretty much right between the size of the M18 and the Recoils. It would be nice if they could have a detta touring class run by itself IMO. But on the other hand, I'm quite anxious to see how they compare together on the track (I'm running both stock and open TC classes myself). I'm pretty sure Dean and the RCMadness crew have put a lot of thankless hours of work organizing this awesome event for all of us to enjoy and I commend all of them for there efforts. I can't wait for all the fun to begin!!!!

On those two points, I'll be thanking them profusely for promoting micro events (offroad/onroad). Anyone that goes this distance workwise to promote micro - thumbs up. I'll be thanking them back by doing a few extra rounds of marshalling!

...{EDIT} I started typing stuff about adhering to size blah blah...manufacturers... but I don't feel like opening a new can of worms. We've got a race in two weeks and it'll be a blast. Can hardly wait!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for understanding and realizing what it takes to put on these events.

There is no way possible to make everyone happy so we do the best we can.

As far as micro touring, I am more than sure we will see micro touring cars get a tad larger, including those from current producers ,

We had a sample car long ago, made rules long ago and will adjust for next year as we see fit.

See everyone in less than 2 weeks!!

Maybe it's time to start thinking about a Vintage class for the M18 and RS4 and others.
