We decided to change to 6-cell after the comments we received last year and after speaking to many sponsors and industry people. You can still run 5-cell if you want but it is 6-cell max. Remember, the stock class will have 4200kv hand out brushless motors from Castle Creations too!

from a racers standpoint, it would be nice if stock classes had some sort of stability from place to place since there is no "standard", and i was hoping this "standard" would be 5 cells, since we ran that last year, and it seems most other places i hear of run 5 cell, and also that i would not have to get 6 cell packs just for this event.

is the new location going to be the same size track?

I have never tried a 4200BL motor.

I'm sure it could be pretty fast with 6 cell?

Anyway, I will probably only have one car and I will run it in the open mod.

Everyone,
email me direct, do not post here, if you want to change the rule to 5-cell stock. Also, email me if you think it should be 6-cell stock. Again, EMAIL... DO NOT POST HERE...
dberry@rcmadness.com

Remember, I did show the rules to the sponsors BEFORE ther y were posted and everyone liked them... Not saying i will change it but I will think about it...

Ok everyone,
I received almost twice as many emails stating we should keep it as 6-cell stock so we are going to stick to that. I do want to thank everyone for their respectful and well written emails. 2 people suggested we make it a 2-cell lipo max for stock class but I do not think we are there... YET... In time I think we will be. Perhaps for all 2009 events

thanks again...

RCMadness,

Thanks for your responses to all of our emails.....I appreciate that. I do have one question though. I see that there will be a rally class, stock and open for the Assoc. 18R. Will you also consider having an "onroad" stock and open class for the 18R? I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that have purchased Exotek's R18 "onroad" conversion kit for the 18R. This event would be a great place to showcase this outstanding ride along with Associated's new foam tires for the car. Exotek also has a great looking body for this on road car called the GT-Z which looks killer. Please let us know.......Thanks.

stock running a BL AND A LIPO WTH??? Thats similar to saying try the coke, but if ur a horse, over there is the china white.

300/370 motor on 5cells. nice and stock. and why isnt mod 'open'? u guys have it right by making mod 'open' like it should be. dont screw it up, leave roar to make silly calls like that.

R

local track down here has decided on robo 300 and 5cells b/c its 'stock' speed that can work on the tiny GB track or the big track @ frederick or somethin in between like mimi's or the bowl. and mod is 'open'. considerin ur car count for stock last yr. perhaps the rules still need tweaking. u have time!!
