I think that would be a great Idea........
Interesting idea! Or even run the on road races thurs-friday then off road sat-sun.

Oval classes are up in the air at this point due to low attendance last year. Considering there was only 1 oval pan car last year, I don't think I will make a rule that will exclude othr cars.

Dean.........regarding the low attendance for the oval classes last year: maybe you could post a pole on this thread and ask how many people would like to participate in an oval race for this year and what classes they would like to run. Or maybe post classes you would suggest having like you did last year. Just a thought.

Having both onroad and offroad event on the same weekend would be way too busy IMO. I would most likely drop all offroad classes personally. Wes can run 17 classes a weekend, I cannot!

Having them back to back may be great for some - however no chance I could justify blocking two weekends in a row with the warden/work/kids. For those coming from far that cannot stay the week, this would be a tough proposition. Again I would most likely be unable to come two weeks in a row.

I also enjoy spreading the fun. After one weekend of full on racing, a break is nice. Racing the very next weekend would dilute the fun. It would be a bummer to have to drop an event ... I love both...

But that's just me.

Default Nats

I think things will go better keeping them apart. This way you have time to setup your cars, trucks, etc and not have to worry about running 12 classes in 4 days. That is just how I feel, but I am open to something that will work for everyone.

Hello,

Right now there is no indoor track set-up. It will be a short while. At this point, I think the On ROad Nats will be in January and the off Road in March. Sorry, I wish I had more/better info.

The people who were in the new building before us really trashed it and it has put Chris really behind the 8 ball. I can't plan much until tracks are in or I have a solid date for them..

Thanks
Dean

I know the new RC Madness will take 1/18 and other scales of racing to the next level. A few delays on an undertaking of such a great magnitude unfortunately is normal....Im just glad it is going to happen and will be there for racing when it is ready......

RC Madness is such a stand up facility they tell the truth and dont blow smoke.....Chris was/is/ and always be "da man" when it comes to racing facilities.....
Thanks RC Madness....

WOW!!!!!! Nationals in CT in January buuurrrrr..........What would the odds be of a big snow at that time for all that would travel from a far?
Hear is my thoughts......

Now don't get me wrong here because I Love RC Madness and Chris and his gang and love racing at his track and facility and hanging out with the CT folks.........

For all the other great and respected indoor carpet tracks that run micro events all around the USA, why not hire Dean to organize and run a National event at your track??????? We have tracks all up and down the East coast such as Kranzels in Pa, HobbyTown in Fredrick MD, The Track in MD, The Mushroom bowl, Tracks in NJ, also in the middle of the country such as Leisure Hours and Ohio where they just held a race in Toledo, The Gate, St. Louis and others to name a few........All of these have excelent places to race and would be able to house all the drivers that would attend.....

I for one do not mind the long drives or flights but I know that others would and do mind.........But I would love to race and visit other tracks around the country as well, rather then all the trips to CT two to three times a year......

Spread the love........But it takes other tracks steping up and getting involved.......I just don't want to see this micro season which should be starting now, get lost or even forgotten because of set backs for other tracks involved.

I know that a lot of the micro gang live in the CT area that attend the micro events and probly would hurt a little having to travel out side of there home tracks but It would do others some much needed releaf if they didn't have to travel as far......Just think if Nats where in Cali this year......

Not sure what all will be shown at I-Hobby next month for the micro side of things but I am sure they would love it if us micro guys and gals would buy micro products now and not latter next year if the micro industry is to go forward with all the good things that have been going for us micro lovers....

Bottom line is there needs to be more events this year then waiting till next year to get the season rolling and making it a very short season and hope that owners and operaters of micro racing tracks will read this and see the need for more races to bring all of us togeather for more fun in other places then just twice a year at nationals.....

All right, I am done on my squak box for now.......

One more thing........."MORE MICRO RACING PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!!!!!

Happy Micro Racing,

I want to add 2 cents to the conversation about the oval on the saturday evening. I realize a lot of work went into changing the track over. But you ask 99% of the guys who raced the oval and we had a blast. No matter what is decided that night will go down in history. yeah i realize most of us dont do it regularly, but we still talk about it....perhaps we are secret oval guys.....

Remember one things and you all know it. RC MADNESS the place to race......
