just about anything that fits the mini-t also will fit on the mini-late model - from drive train to running gear to suspension parts and hop-ups

I didn't see any large threads on the Mini Late Model so I'll put my questions in here. I just bought one to do some dirt oval with, two main questions.

1) Does anyone know of any setup sheets for these? If not, any setup tips?

2) What rate can I safely charge the stock batteries at? Higher than 1c? It's an 1100mAh pack and I was thinking 2 amps charge rate.

I am running on short high banked carpet oval. The only change I made (and most of the other racers) is to put a stiff spring on right front shock. When running rubber tires, I put a narrow strip of black electrical tape around the outer edge of right front tire. This eliminates the tendency to traction roll.

I have charged the 1100 batt at four amps without any issues. If you have cut off set correctly, it will be very warm but hasn't hurt batt yet. I run mostly 1400s more kick that 1100s.

1) send me a PM with an email addy and I'll be happy to send them to you

2) while some folks get away with charging these packs at a higher than 1C rate, it severly affects battery life. I've been running minis for years, and while I see people make all sorts of claims I also see them spending a lot of money replacing packs way more often than I and they're no faster than me either

i usually charge mine at 1.6 on the ice. its been working great with the 1500s and 1600s. 90ft flat carpet, 5 minute heats and mains, uses between 750 and 900 mahs. other people are charging at 2 and they are not lasting the whole 5 minutes. it could also be that they rarely cycle the batteries though.

if you still have the stock wiring and connectors you will want to upgrade to Deans Ultra connectors and 16g silicone wire.

Charging at 2amps would be the max for the stock cells....
I hope you are using a decent charger that doesnt false peak....

Good advice for making your packs last, on the track and for long life.

I always use the 1C method - or 1Amp of charge rate per 1000mAh of the pack - so 1.1A for the stock 1100mAh packs, 1.4A for my IB1400mAh packs, 1.6A for my 1600mAh packs, etc, etc.

Over hammering these packs just kills them over time and really supplies little extra punch.
