Default Quark 33A help!!!!

Ok I am ready to scream!! I got a Quark 33 A brushless controller with a wraith motor. I have watched the video's on quark and sky technology's web site. I have tried OVER AND OVER and the controller will not go into beginner or advanced set up modes. The light should blink once for beginner or twice for advanced. But the light just stays solid red.

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!

Nevermind.... ok so I had the wrong manual.

Well not for my next problem, if I gas it, it really isn't very fast at all. Then after about 5-10 seconds of full throttle it just shuts down. Then about another 10 seconds go by and I can go again. But still very slow.... Any ideas?

What cells are you running and are you sure you programmed the battery mode accordingly?

just a 6 cell stock battery I even removed the motor to see if it would do the same thing and it did, not much power and shuts off after about 5 sec.

what battery did you get?

lipo or nimh?

if you got nimh make sure you get like above 1200mah gp cells

so you should of gotten 1500mah elite cells or something equivilant, otherwise it will cog because brushless motors like high discharge batteries.

and also their might be some binding in your tranny.

First off I tried an AM futaba, then the stock losi radio, which worked a lot better. Funny enough I was going to switch to a JR XS3 today. That is all my options.

hey dont get an FM radio....

go with a dsm system...

the losi dsm system works welll..

i have 2 quarks...

quark 33a universal + 12.6v LIPO and dynamite 9200kv motor

quark 33a Pro car + 6.6v LIFE and a generic 4400kv motor (370 size)

and i use the losi MTX PRO dsm system from the speed-t car and it works really well...

You can get a higher end dsm system.. but theres no point if your just a basher

Well I just use it for bashing so I really don't want to drop money on a DSM system.

I know this is going to sound funny but really I am not giving losi any more money than I have I think this will be my last losi. The losi dsm radio feels like a toy. So someday I hope to get a Namadio radio off ebay, or the new dsm MX-3

if you buy a toy radio even if it has builtin dsm technology its still a toy radio and what happens when you try to go cheap. dont blame losi blame whoever talked you into going cheap
