Default Advise please: m18MT or Mini LST2

Ok I have been looking at a lot of mini lst 2 trucks on ebay. There are not any m18MT but amain has the RTR for 219$

I am mostly looking to use it for just fun, bashing in the backyard things like that. I will also add a brushless to which ever one I get. Anyone used both trucks?

I'd say go with the M18MT. I've owned both and would happily buy another xray. It costs a little more up front, but the extra dough is well worth it. The trucks have solid drivetrains, great handling, and are much easier to wrench on. For brushless, the only thing you would need are cvd's, and you're set. Actually, if you are going to go brushless, just get the MT kit ($120 on average), and build it up the way you like it.

This is so hard!!!!! I have mad love for xray but never owned one. So I found where I can get a RTR M18MT for 199$ But there is lots of MLST2 trucks on ebay with brushless already installed and everything that I should be able to get for close to the same. I can't make up my mind

Go with XRAY. it's the only brand I've ever owned that I've smacked HARD into concrete curbs and it doesn't even phase it. I did the same thing with a losi and busted the front end in two.

Ok 2 votes for xray..... if it wasn't for the major hoped up lst2 trucks I wouldn't even think about it. Xray would be my choice if they where both stock though.

If you decide on the M18MT, just get the kit version. You can then add what electronics you want right away without having to pay for the stock electronics it sounds like you wouldn't be using.

Then you get the fun of building and setting it up yourself. :O)

I will buck the trend and say MLST2
Xray's M18 line is excellent but the potential upgrade and bash factor of the MLST2 is too much fun to overlook. MLST2 just feels like a real monster truck while the M18MT is a race platform with bigger tires mounted- which makes it very fast and capable but doesn't scare the neighbors like the MLST2 does haha

Remember that the MLST2 has the good diffs in it- very important to have.

Yeah if I was going to race I would get the xray for sure. There are some REALLY good deals on mlst2 trucks on ebay I keep waiting for an xray but there isn't even new one's for sale on ebay right now. Anyway Mr. Exotek..... those kits exotek makes are pretty sweet, how about a discount hahaha.

rschoi_75- Yeah, MLST is not for the faint of wallet.

When i think of xray the first thing that comes to mind is racing. it sound like you will be bashing and i alway found that the losi truck are very brute. so if you are racing go with the m18mt but for bashing hands down go with the mini lst2

Since they aren't MLST2 you'll want to get the correct diffs. Anything other than MLST2 diffs and input gears will blow out with a mod motor.... don't say I didn't warn you!

The brushless one already has the viscous diffs in it The brushless one is a mlst2 really has the shocks and diffs all upgraded among many other upgrades.
