i just picked up a reedy mini-mod motor 17t at the local hobby store and i was wondering what is the point in changing the timing? and how do you do it?
The endbell would have to be rotated in the clockwise direction in relation to the can/mags.
What it will do is increase your RPMs, but decrease some torque. It'll also shorten the lifespan of the motor as it'll run hotter. If you're just stepping up from the AE stock 370.....don't even worry about the timing adjusting.......the Reedy should be plenty fast for ya how it comes from the factory.
so the mini mod motor burnt up...on day 2...i sent it back to reedy for evaluation...a week went by, and i called them. they said they didn't have my address to send my motor to. i gave them my address. the another week went by...they said that they were out of stock of the 17t mini mod motors. i was getting angry at this point....the ended up giving me a lrp fusion mini motor in place of the mini mod...it runs better than the mini mod....i'm happy with it at least...
