Questions?? reccommanded hop-ups for brushless rc18t

i just got a mamba 68kv for my 18t along with turnbuckle kit and threaded shocks.the truck is bone stock except for what i just got.what else would you reccomand with this setup. i'm sure the mamba will put some stress on the stock drivetrain. i want to set it up for outdoor and indoor carpet racing.

How about a steering draglink from Impulse R/C. It takes some of slop out of the steering and makes it more responsive.

I also run the Integy Aluminum steering upgrade and Digitty Design Carbon Fiber chassis.

Driven Productions drag link OR Integy aluminum kit.

I installed the Integy kit, and still have quite a bit of slop -- brand new. I just bought a DP drag link off e-bay: not quite as bling, but looks to be better engineered (to reduce slop, not necessarily fit and finish.)

I already received a carbon chassis and top plate kit from Diggity Designs. If I'd seen the XTEK kit beforehand I certainly would have gone that route for many reasons:
• can run the best / fastest / smoothest steering servos (and a bit oversized); see the XTEK site for details
• steering linkage is *included* and is totally fab: carbon fiber, aluminum + your own Ti turnbuckles. Ultra elegant solution.
• center slipper diff included
• carbon fiber drive shaft included
• center motor mount (!!!) as opposed to rear-mounted.
• better weight balance using saddle packs (but sucks that good factory stick Lipo options won't fit)

The diggity designs kit is also pretty nice. If I can solve the steering issues using the stock Delrin pan, the CF chassis is the next project.

What does the 60t spur give you over running a smaller pinion?

Also, I saw XTEKs car was running totally different shocks. Anyone know what they are, or what are good aftermarket fits? I have the FT blue ones, and haven't done the recommended single larger ⌀ o-ring conversion, yet. But, I suspect I will have to rebuild them in due time... Do the XRAY 18s fit?
