I'm definitely open to more tracks in the future. Definitely if it's one more towards the south!! I like the warmer weather NC sees during the winter. MD can be brutal sometimes. How far is TRD from Mimi's? Thanks.

Robbie I think it's about 4 hours down 85 south.
I also talked to a few more micro guys who said they would try and make it sunday. (T-Bone, Saint and son)

I would say a little closer to five hours but a real nice drive down 95 to 85 south.....

Looks like I will be making it down sunday for some Mod racing at Mimi's. I got the email saying my motor mount shipped today, and my brushless should have shipped today as well.

It's the year 2009. Shouldn't vacuum cleaners be quieter by now?
I would suggest trying both. It appears as though we have 4 hours of practice Saturday morning, including all day/night Friday if you can make that. I would figure your best bet would be the BL system, but wouldn't count out the brushed system just yet.
I believe I ran a 22/44 last time I was at Mimi's on about 33mm tires.

Robbie,
We could consider 3 classes
180 stock - 5 cell or 6 cell as usual
super stock -280 motor 5cell 2/3a
mod....-unlimited motor and batteries
Kevin
Alex, I have a few 42T spurs in my box. You can have one.
Kevin, The 180's are great at HobbyTown. They would fail at Mimi's, since the track is so large. I am considering a Stock 280 5 cell class, as well as a Brushed Mod and Brushless Mod for next year. If I see enough of each setup, and enough interest to do both, then the classes will be there for sure next season. This goes for Trucks and all as well.
Also, anyone who is planning to attend, and even anyone who cannot attend this weekend, that wants to be involved, PLEASE PM me your Email address. I'd like to start getting ideas and opinions from everyone, and email seems to be the easiest way. I'll be collecting email addresses this weekend at the track.

Alright guys, the first MRL test race is in the books. I feel like things went well. Mod was ballistic, and a ton of fun to watch! Fred Wirsching won both Stock and Mod. I am working with Mimi to get full results and get some points posted up.
Thanks to all that who attended, it was a ton of fun running these cars on such a large track. We had 12 stock cars and 9 mod cars, and a definite growing interest in this scale of racing.
The next race date is Feb. 16th at HobbyTown USA in Fredrick MD. Hope to see everyone there!
