Ok, testing went well for the stock motor today for the full throttle race, which seems to have some confusion about the micro classes.
Micro classes are as follows.

stock: tires any
batteries 5 cell 2/3 A
motor 280 fix
width 108 max/ tires can't extend past the finder
body touring car bodies (mazda, stratus, or alfa)

mod: tires any
batteries 5-6 cell 2/3 A 1100-1500mah
motor any brushed or brushless
width 108 max/ tires can't extend past the finder
body any

Micro classes are $15 for 1st class, 2nd class unknown, stock motors are about $10.
Stock and mod will run 3, 5 min quals sat and 1 on sunday. The mains will be 6 minutes for both classes.

One other thing before I go, I need a roll call of all the people who want to run the stock class, so MIMI can order the motors for the race. If you don't make it known that you wish to run the stock class via email, phone call or pm, then you might miss out on a motor because she Will order just enough for the people who make it clear. This will eliminate her from getting stuck with motors that no one will want or she can't sale.

You can put me down for the Stock Class, and tell Mimi to order me 3 motors so that I have a couple spare. Can't wait to be back racing with you guys again. I haven't driven anything since On Road Nats!

Glad u can make it down. Hopefully u can bring some of your guys with u.
Got u down for three stock motors.

Spread the word on the micro class, and if your guys can't make the whole weekend, then tell them to come down on sunday and run that one qual and the main.

sorry guys, looks like im going to have to duck this race, the schedule changed again

and now i have to work sat and sun instead of just sat. i wish i could make it but its very doubtful.

Mike G. just called me and looks like he was able to get someone to cover his shift for Sunday. So he will be able to make the last round or two on satuday and all day sunday.

Yea, dunno how much of the story Mike shared with you, but the way things went down was total BS. Either way, it's good to see that he'll be there.

Oh yea...I got to test the 280 AE motor today at our track in Glen Burnie. I ran 280 w/ 5C 2/3A 1400 matched pack and went 8.30. I also ran 280 w/ 6C 2/3AA 700 kan cells. All this was AFTER racing for a few weeks on our layout with the 2/3AA 700 kans and a Mini Mauler Upgrade 180.

180 MM Upgrade w/ 6C 700's my fast lap was an 8.0, but only did one. Pack usually falls off minimum of .6/sec in an 8 min. run. This is the combo we normally race with, but will not be what the MRL runs.

280 w/ 5C 2/3A 1400's my fast lap was an 8.30, but very consistent and ran 8 minutes easily.

280 w/ 6C 2/3AA 700's my fast lap was two 8.0's with potential of a 7.9, but I was only able to make about 6 and a half minutes of runtime.

My opinion, 5C 2/3A's and a 280 motor are plenty for "Stock". It's not too fast, but plenty of power to lay it down. Also, the 280 motor I ran never went above 90*F. This weekend at Mimi's will be the final test

that answers many question. robbie, 6min mains on the 280 next yr @ haus (might also help cut time of festivities down --especially if more racers. or u could offer folks 6min heats and mains too). could keep us on AAs and out of $$$$ voltage wars, even cheaper motor bill, and good racing.maybe even offer a sports car type ruling whereby u can go 280-5A or 180-6AA. thoughts?

I have to say, I'm VERY pleased to see the list of names of the racers stepping up and giving this deal a shot! You guys are the one's that are going to make this happen and you are the ones that will make it big. Definitely looking forward to racing with everyone this coming weekend. I will be there all day Friday (Have to get at least 3 practice packs in on the '008 before Saturday

Man oh Man......Sure would love to come up and help support this race....Sorry guys but just wont be able to pull that one off.....Trust me, you don't know how much thought I have giving to trying to make it work out and come run with all of you great racers at Mimi's this coming weekend

Robbie.....Question? Will this league just be for the three tracks mentioned or will you guys run at other east coast tracks....If So, TRD Raceway in Salisbury, North Carolina would like to be a part of the MRL circuit!
