I used to run itellect 750s, but they tend to vent under charging. I now use Duracell 1000s and they have the same amount of punch and last longer. I buy mine off ebay. I bought 4 packs(16 cells) for $20 shipped

That is a pretty good deal. Team Orion just came out with some 1100 mah and i found some 1200 mah from CTA Digital. Has anyone tried any of these yet?

ib 750s work awesome you just have keep them a little cooler than other aaa s when charging. the type of charger you use makes a big difference as well....i use the ice w a temp probe....and a Maha... the maha charges the cells individually... I charge w the maha and i repeak w the ice....

The intellects are nice, but they require too much maintenance. They were nice for their time(3-4 years ago), but now vendors today are basically making you pay for the name.

i run kodak 750mah and NexCell 800 mah in my cars

I got them here - http://thomasdistributing.com/shop/-...2_104_119.html

I used to have 2 packs of the IB750 - but lost 2 cells in 1 pack within a month, and I TOOK CARE OF THEM...

So now I have 1 pack of IBs and started looking for and running the other cells...

of the 2 I listed, I like the kodak's a little better...I probably need to do some cycling of the NexCells before I know exactly how good they are

Thumbs up

I'm using the MAHA IMEDION AAA 800 MAH Low Discharge, comparable to
my Intellect 750 with less maintenance. Very satisfied with the punch and
run time. I got it from this place:

Those are the old Orion cells.

I have run numerous tests on almost every single cell available out there (20+) brands. Bottom line Intellects are the quickest and punchiest due to their low internal resistance. As long as these cells are charged at no higher than 1 amp, they require little to no maintenance. If they overheat, they tend to vent a bit, but nothing a fan blowing on your batteries can't take care off.

This does not mean however that they are the best for racing all categories. I feel like the intellects are great for racing stock, but stay away from them in modified. In modified, you do not need the punch that these cells provide, as the cars get a little bit uncontrollable with rubber tires.

The next two great cells, which I would recommend for modified racing are the Better Power 1000mah cell and the Sanyo 1000mah HR-4U cell. THese two are very similar in performance and are the only two cells with close to the same Internal Resistance as the Intellects, but with a little more run time and a little less punch (due to higher IR, almost identiacal voltage). The difference is magnified heavily in Modified racing where some of the cells such as the Duracell mentioned previously can't sustain the discharge load under acceleration. This trait makes your car feel boggy out of the corners.

Bottom line is that most of the AAA cells available in the market are not HC batteries. Therefore they cannot handle the ~8A load these cars pull out of the corners.

Do you have a charger that gives approximate capacties for your batteries? If so, you might want to check your Atomic mods batteries.

If I remember correctly, I bought 4 sets(16 total) in April of this year. I refreshed them on my charger and all 16 of the battery capacities werein the 500-600mah range

Atomic mods was nice enough to take them back from me and offer me new sets once they got them from the chinese manufacturer. Around the same time I reported this, Atomic mods change the rating of the batteries on their site to 700mah and they reduced the price as well.

I was able have good communication with Robert Byrd and Christian Tabush during this time. After a couple weeks, theyinformed me that they were never able to receive a new batch from the manufacturer, so they were nice enough to send me 4 sets of Intellect 750s instead.

Just thought I'd let you know. If you ordered them before April 2007, you might have the better batches of batteries, unfortunately, I didn't buy them early enough
