Default Help me decide please

Looking at getting a AE F.T 18T and running a Mamba 6800kv. Any problems with the two? What gearing would u recommend? Also, anyone recommend a good servo?

Your search feature is full of answers, I would get the rtr and up-grade what you want because there are better options then what the FT offer. Happy shopping

Stay low on the pinions size. Mamba's tend to cog alot around the higher gear ratios. I've found the lower the better with 4wd 1/18's. In fact I run a 8 tooth in my vendetta ands it perfect(old x-mod brass press on pinions). But alot of the guys I've raced with stay in the 12 tooth area. Cvd's are a must! If you get that 18t stock and not the FT. Get the carbide balls for the diffs and the turnbuckle set too. Well atleast I would

14/60 gearing is the best i have found on mine, also dont forget to get a diff shim kit and add a shim in each diff.
