Default lipo battery question

For lipo batteries the higher "mah". Does this mean the higher the longer run times? And for higher volts mean the faster it revs the motor(making it faster)? does anybody know a website that has good deals on lipos for rc18's. Any recommended lipos packs? What kind of charger do you recommend? balancer really needed? Heard the ice chargers are pretty nice, but do they have the lipo balancer feature? Thanks, Ted

The higher the mah the higher the capacity, meaning longer runtimes and more Amp output for the bigger more powerfull motors.

The higher the volts the more RPM's you get out of your motor.

1c = it can discharge at the capacity of the battery (900mah lipo at 1c = 0.9A discharge)

eg. 10c discharge on a 900mah pack = 9A discharge

20c discharge on a 900mah pack = 18A discharge etc.

the C means capacity. a 10c 1000mah pack can discharge 10x its capacity.
1000mah=1amp 10c x 1= 10amps....
technically a higher mah pack will also discharge more amperage as well.

Try to match your discharge rate to your speedo.....
mamba 25
10c 1500mah pack =15amps
15c 1500mah pack =22.5 amps
20c 1500mah pack= 30 amps

hope this helps....

Click the following web address :

http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.ph...74-Pack&cat=12

It's the battery I use for my 18T/B. It's a perfect fit.
It's the only battery that I know of that does not require dremelling the 1/18 T/B chassis.

The safest/best lipo chargers are made by FMA, IMO.
You can find them there:
