Default 1/24 scale SERPENT!!!

That's right! A 1/24 scale elect. pan car from world renowned Serpent. A name synonimous with 1/8 scale nitro on-road racing, has branched out to several other markets. Now a high quality 1/24 is on the way...
It was debued at the Chicago Hobby show this weekend.

Is it 1/27th-1/24th? Or just 1/24th period? I would like to see a big name get into Mini-Z.

It's 1/24. reminds me of the DTM 1/24 pan cars from ABC hobby a few years ago. Looks to be very high quality. Mini-z won't be a match for it & should not be raced in the same class.

Well thats a bit disappointing. I know 1/24th is doing pretty well around that area of Europe, but it seems here and Asia, 1/27 (or 1/18th) is what people race.

All I can show is the failure of the Duratrax Pocket Rocket to take off.

Scale down Robi Scalpel? What batteries does it use? RTR with their own electronics?

Thanks.

Not only would I like to see pics of the Serpent 1/24 car,
But I would like to see any pics of anything rc from the show! I can't find any websites with info or pics concerning the show. What's up with that?!!!!
Is no one bothering with it this year or what?

Sorry about that! I didn't take a camera along.. I keep forgetting about the one in my phone..
As far as electronics go,,,,One of the cars they were running had a 2 cell LiPo saddle pack with a 180 motor (cheap closed end-bell variety). Hopefully, they will not 'dis' the micro scene by selling a RTR. It looks as though a 6 cell saddle pack of AAA or AA batteries will fit.
I will order some as soon as they are accepting pre-orders.

Exclamation

Back to my original question: Why is there no coverage or pics ANYWHERE on the web concerning the i-hobby show?!!!!!
Every year RC Car Action or someone posts pics and info about new releases on the web. I have been to all the sites I can find and there is NOTHING!!!!
Does anyone out here know anything about this?

Are we still talking about 1/24 or is it 1/18, AA cells in a 1/24 car seems to take a lot of space...... I think a 1/18 is a better choice since this class is very populair around the world.

maybe just for mod class. The awd is a little heavy and the mr-02 isn't as easy to drive.

The thing I like about the mini-zs are the ease of use, no buying seperate elecs
