With a custom motor mount you may fit it.
Notice that flat side of the motor is level with the lower chasis.
all round 180 brushless might hit the ground.

If the motor mount raises up the motor enough, wonder how that affects pinion mesh to the spur? I dont' think it matters really , but curious as all I have seen has the pinion mated to the spur at the spurs center.

Be a shame if that is how they are going to go, a flat sided can with no room for a round one.

I'll find out as soon as they arrive, but I don't think there will be a problem fitting a mamba (or similar) into it. It's a solid rear axle so the motor could hang down a bit.

if the mamba doesn't fit im sure the 1/36 would have enough power with 2 cell lipo for some indoor fun.

The Mamba will be to big -the losi 1/36BL motor will probably have to less torque. But I will test this next days and keep you up to date.

the motors usually used in this cars are 180 size (as former tamtech 1/24 cars had) which are a little bit longer as Mini-Z motors like from Atomic.

Sure you're not talking about the Dynamite Rocket Racer?
Here's mine with a DTX 180 (from a micro street force) shoehorned into the rear pod. I'm sure with a little butter....I could fit a mamba in there. If not, there's always the Ammo 20x30mm motors.

Hello guys:

I raced mine yesterday, at least on asphalt it runs great, it feels like a 4wd car. It is already for sale at our web page.
