With a custom motor mount you may fit it.
Notice that flat side of the motor is level with the lower chasis.
all round 180 brushless might hit the ground.
If the motor mount raises up the motor enough, wonder how that affects pinion mesh to the spur? I dont' think it matters really , but curious as all I have seen has the pinion mated to the spur at the spurs center.
Be a shame if that is how they are going to go, a flat sided can with no room for a round one.

I'll find out as soon as they arrive, but I don't think there will be a problem fitting a mamba (or similar) into it. It's a solid rear axle so the motor could hang down a bit.

Well thats a bit disappointing. I know 1/24th is doing pretty well around that area of Europe, but it seems here and Asia, 1/27 (or 1/18th) is what people race.
All I can show is the failure of the Duratrax Pocket Rocket to take off.
Sure you're not talking about the Dynamite Rocket Racer?
Here's mine with a DTX 180 (from a micro street force) shoehorned into the rear pod. I'm sure with a little butter....I could fit a mamba in there. If not, there's always the Ammo 20x30mm motors.
saw it in nurnberg during the fair displayed at the top of the best car ever seen (and made) in 1/12th class.1/24th are high end users pan cars, dont get confused for the little size, these cars sure will be a hit!
i used to have both dtm cars from abc hobby (dtm sp and dtm x4) and the serpent looks amazing... like the dtm sp, but maybe a bit more refined... after all, it's a serpent. anybody know how i can get one?
