Default MR02 steering problem

Hi,

I just got a brand new mini-z MR02 and am having a problem with the steering. It was fine for about the first 5 mins of runningn but then it started to stop responding to my inputs. Ussually it will stop turning in one direction then be fine for about 30 seconds then stop responding again. Occasionally it will get stuck at full lock.

All the linkages seem fine and all the batteries/aerial are fitted properly. I find that is i unclip the tie rod i can see the servo saver working properly but as soon as i put the tie rod back on it starts playing up yet everything feels perfectly smooth.

Any ideas????

sounds like glitching to me.....where are you running the mini z???
It can be the Radio TX , the crystals and it can also be the environment. Lighting,metal,outlets....anything that can generate RF or act as a super antenna....

good point.....

I switched to an Airtronics MXA radio and I had zero problems plus a lot more adjustments on the radio.

it could be the potenteometer i bought a mr-02 with the i series board and the steering lasted about 2 or 3 minutes then locked to one side , it ended up being the potenteometer, there not very expensive but a nightmare to change.id try a different transmitter and if that doesnt work you may want to send it to Kyosho. another friend of mine has an i series board and constantly has glitching problems no matter what transmitter he uses, the i series dont seem to carry the same quality as the standard boards. the other bad news is my buddy sent his back to kyosho and it took 2 months to get returned and not fixed.
