hi i am new for mini-micro cars and i have a lot of questions, first of all
i want a car to play in my house, second i want to do it fast, and to put it hop-up.
i like Kyosho Half-8 Mini Inferno 777
in esc can you put it faster motor or i burn it?if yes how many(turns?)faster?
what motor propose(fast)!!?
can ι put sub-c cells, because i see that need aa cells(only aa cells takes??) ?
how many time can i play with the top batteries if it aa cells, with std motor, and how can with the fast?
- the buggies in your links are the same. just different body type. the #4 type is more expensive because the style is newer. But its the same car.
- Both are rtr with a transmitter.
- Check out the classifieds or ebay. For new ones, those are good prices on A-main hobbies.
- The esc can use a faster kyosho x-speed motor, but you should really change it. They can not handle much more than stock. If you stay brushed, get a novak xrs or lrp ai runner. Those will handle any micro brushed motor. For brushless you can buy a mamba, tekin, quark, etc... There are also lots of good motors too.
- I suggest a Graupner speed 400 (3.2mm shaft) 6v to start. You don't want brushless if its only going to be run in your house... unless you have a mansion. Stick to brushed motors for now.
- The mini inferno can use 2/3A cells. Sub-C are too large.
- Runtime with AA alkaline batteries and all stock parts is about 5-7 minutes. with rechargeable AA batteries... about 15 minutes. With a good nimh 2/3a pack... about 15minutes (but much faster).
- Speed: stock = 13mph. Stock with a good nimh pack = 16-18mph.

-do it in this esc or burn it?
-this is motor?better than novak and lrp that you tell me,or novak and lrp that you tell me are esc's??
-2/3a it is aa batteries?
-recheargable mean 2700 mah?..
With a good nimh 2/3a pack what you mean?like this
7.2 pack???
ok potter i understand,and thanks!
but
please anyone to answer at his questions....
rc18b is better than the kyosho, why?more speed, you cant make the kyosho the same as associated,it takes the same batteries with kyosho?
what is opinion for 1/36 losi fast?and team losi mini-t....?

man kyosho is not better then AE but if you a good start for stock buggy 1/18 in my opnion get the rc18b beacause its BETTER!
in the rc18b you need to buy 7.2 packs and in the inferno you should get the 9.6 packs.
the stock motor in the inferno is slowwwwwwwwww!
doesnt matter if it is slow, with price i found the kyosho i can put it motor and new esc to go as fast as rc18 goes,or i make mistake?
i want to buy a kyosho because i am scare that maybe do 1/16 champion in my country and i cant play with the rc18b!
rc18b and kyosho takes 2/3a batteries, kyosho takes and aa batteries?
this is the battery for kysho mini inferno or for the kyosho inferno/st,ot they takes the same? http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/produc...ducts_id=17622
Welcome to the world of mini-inferno, the abuse that suffered by my mini-inferno is unforgiveable but it keeps on running.
About the battery V-TEC 1400 i had been advice that the stock esc of mini-inferno cant handle the power of the battery, so they installed the regulator to my car in order to use the above mentioned battery (regulator= i forgot the exact term they used to the electronics they installed)
Hope you take more advice about using the battery and the stock ESC of mini-inferno.

OK w8 because i dont understand, you tell me that with v-tec(and generally with 2/3a batteries)the car dont have a lot handle?and for this reason you put a regulator(what is this)?

what i want to emphasize is the car is durable in my own opinion

The stock ESC of Mini Inferno can't handle the power of V-TEC 1400 so they advice me to use 6x2AA rechargeable battery instead of V-TEC 1400.
The power of V-TEC 1400 can ruined your ESC (according to them) maybe you can used it twice or more than without noticing it, but after a while the break down on your ESC will occur (again it’s been told to me by the boss of one LHS here)
For you to use the V-TEC 1400 in your mini-inferno you need to install "chips" to balance the power going to ESC ("chips" I will check the right term when I go home )
I am also surprised at all the abuse the Inferno gets. Out of the box it's a great car. So is the RC18. They are different cars but there is a lot of cool technology straight of the box with the Inferno (centre differential, slipper, etc.). It's a bit bigger and easier to work on for somepeople because of the slightly larger size. It's a great basher and certain takes a lot of knocks.
You can buy the upgraded Inferno X-speed motor which is quite a bit faster than the stock motor but you will have to get better and bigger batteries. There are also a lot of after market motors you can get that fit's straight on.
In the long run you can go brushless but at that point it's recommended to get rid of the centre diff and slipper as things gets messy with more moving parts.
You can make an incredible racer out of the Inferno when you start looking at the KMRC carbon chassis, brushless motors, upgraded diffs, etc.
