xxx - where are you based?

They say if you upgrade to the 8 cell battery packs (because they are 9.6 volt and not the standard 7.2volt) you need to use the kyosho Battery Protection Unit #16199 BUT... most people run their cars perfectly fine without it.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it. You said in your first post you want to hop it up and make it go fast so you probably won't be keeping the standard ESC\Receiver unit?

8 cell aa batteries or 2/3a batteries?(maybe i make silly question)

first of all when i buy them i see how fast goes,if it is ok for my home and fun the car it is ok,but if my country make races i will make it!

8 x 2/3 cells. AA batteries do not deliver high power quickly so the car will be slow even with 8 AA batteries. You need to get 2/3 cells.

Try the standard battery tray with AA's first and then, when you want to go faster get the 8 x 2/3 saddle packs. It's a big jump in performance.

No problem, your other alternative is LiPo batteries so keep them in mind but you will need a LiPo specific charger and a voltage cutoff device.
