Well Im going to order one of the JR digital servo's like they recomend. That way it cant be the servo as an issue.

The Quark is still giving me shits at the moment....a 6 cell pack should easily have enough power to drive a motor thats pulling 14A

I have settled on a Hitec HS-65MG and Xray servo saver which works absolutely great. I have very little steering slop now and the only play on the steering I think is due to loose ball cups. I got a new set of ball cups but no fitted them yet so we'll see what it's like then.

I have already sorted out issues with the rear shocks being over damped, the steering dual rate being way too high (I'm not following the recommended 45%), etc.

Still need to get some tyres that work on carpet as the foams I have at the moment are the 'super-slip-non-grip' variety.

I have foams that I run onroad, asphalt parking lot, never tested them on carpet though. I have the associated ones but I want to get the Parma 1/18 foams, I like the rims

My servo should be here soon and Im going to be running a lipo down 1 side of the chassis, where the servo is, receiver on the top plate and Quark on the other slotted side. Ill probably have to add some weight between the lipo and the servo but I have some left over from when I did my B4

I use the Associated foams on carpet with good success. I haven't tried the parma foams yet on carpet, but purples all around should be good. But if you find that you have too much steering in the front, I think they also have pinks, which is a little softer and I would use them on the rear.

Also, why would you want to put your battery on one side only? Thay would defeat the main purpose of the chassis set, to get a more equal balance. You could get two 7.4v 900mah lipos and wire them together in parallel which would give you a 7.4v 1800mah pack. I've seen them go really cheap on rcmart.com. I think the cells were from yeah racing.

Yes I know those cells, I was going to do that but you have to mod the chassis to get them to fit. Instead Im going to run 1 down the left side and have my receiver on the top deck and quark on the right side battery compartment. My receiver hardly fits anywhere else in the car.

If the weight balance becomes an issue thats an easy fix with lead weights.
