Woah lot of info.
You might look through
this M18 thread to help you get some information.
See again, RTR doesn't seem to be your best idea for what your thinking.
Your already putting in your own receiver and a digital servo. So all you are buying is a motor and speed control and a battery. While throwing out or selling the servo and radio/receiver that comes with the system.
ESC: Tekin B1 (B1R if you want reverse)
Motor: Depends on what your track considers stock motor. Micros used to use stock use 180 size motors, but most vehicles these days use 280-370 as stock motors.
So if you used a 180 stock motor against these, you'll get wasted. Which RTR comes with, so again shows why you shouldn't.
180 Size:
Xray 180 micro motor,
HPI 180 micro motor ,
Orion Elite Stock are examples.
280 and 370.. Best bet is save the motor for last and check with the track. They might even require you purchase a handout/spec.
Digital Servo, the
Multiplex Polo Digi4 comes highly recommended.
Battery. The RTR comes with a 5 cell pack with begginer batteries not meant for competition. Many tracks these days allow 6 cells. In either case, you will want Intellect 1400mah or Elite 1500mah batteries.
Blind Batteries or Cheap Battery Packs can make some basic packs for a decent price. Team Scream or Psycho Cells can make you matched packs for more.
Since it sounds like your a starter, just get some pre-made unmatched packs with good cells like mentioned above.
On the stock M18 you can only fit 6 cells in a shotgun configuration (Pro no problem with normal side by side).
If you choose the M18, just run it stock for a few weeks to get a feel for it before you start to upgrade. The number one upgrade will be your tires, then your diffs, and then your chassis.
M18 Pro again has the goodies.
