How does the XMC 300R speedy hold up when you plug say a peak raider or something with far fewer turns into it, or should I simply just go for lipos and BL again with this one similar to the Mini-T, although maybe a 6K motor, not an 8K??

Also, the front wheels are connecting with the chassis at full lock, but this could simply be a servo issue that some mucking about should remedy.

Cheers.
The XMC should work with a raider fine. One of the MT tire types does hit the chassis at full lock, but reduce your servo travel on your remote to keep it from turning as far. You could also instead add some fuel tubing to the bottom post extensions on the hubs to keep the steering from going too far.

Default Xray M18T hop-ups

which upgrades would be the best for carpet racing on a short tight track and if anyone can let me know where to get some good stuff from that would be great.

thanks,dan

thanks theres alot of useful info. What would you recommend for a motor I need something fast to keep up with the brushless trucks I know a brushed motor cant really beat a brushless set up but the track is small and tight I just need the most power and speed that I can get.

thanks,dan

The other thread would be better to ask in as so we can keep all information together. If your saying your not running brushless, If its a short track, you might if your allowed and understand the safety precautions use lipos as that will allow you to reach top end quicker with the lighter weight.

You might look into a larger Mod motor like the LRP Torque, but you end up paying near the same amount as a new brushless motor.

Agreed, & since we don't need 2 threads on the exact same subject, I've merged them together...

Not yet, there may or may not be one made eventually by a aftermarket company. I can link you to a method created by ThomasP that shows how to make your own here.
