Are you using the Trinity tourng car wheel adapters? If so,I am 99 percent sure the wheels are for the tamiya Mini cooper.I will further investigate today.

John,

I don't know what brand my touring car adapters are, they could be Trinity, all I know is that they're blue anodized. They were an extra set I had laying around from my Mini Inferno when I was running touring car wheels on it.

Thanks,

Mike

Hey Mike,

The ones you Pm'ed me about are the ones.So your using the adapters that are for the Mini inferno? If so, thats important because the offset for the 18T to touring car adapters is very wide.I will look into the 12mm adapter for the Inferno now.thanks!

Ya, I guess I should've mentioned that before. The adapters I'm using are pretty shallow. Maybe 5mm in thickness. The wheels/foams I'm running now come out to be the same offset as stock. I got lucky and it just worked out that way.

I got em online somewhere... don't remember where. It was last summer. I can take a picture of em when I get home if you want. I'm at work at the moment.

RC18R front bumper...???

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a front bumper for the RC18R...? I'm not familiar with the M18 or Micro RS4 so I don't know if they have a bumper that could be adapted to the 18R. I know someone mentioned the RPM bumper for the 18T would work but I'd like to have some kind of foam bumper.

Does anyone have any ideas....???

Default Road Racing

Has anyone tried the 18R on asphalt? I was wondering how the grip is out of the box.

It handles great on the track here in San Antonio. we are using stock tires with paragon, lowering the car to 5mm and putting o-rings in the shocks to take out some droop, every thing else is pretty much stock though. we are trying to start a stock 1/18th scale class but we havent started yet beacuse of the weather.

ae... Are you guys getting a 1/18th program going in San Antonio?

If so let me know and we can schedule some races in both cities. In Houston, we have a pretty nice 1/18th racing program. We race every other weekend indoors, and we just completed a very nice outdoor asphalt track that is painted on the surface. Actualy the final prep will be done today and I will have pictures up on our website (see signature) If you look on the main page at "outdoor micro" there is a small pic and some start up info.
We are going to run 18th TC, and a dedicated 18R class in both stock and mod.

What hop-ups are available for this car? Will the threaded shocks for the FTE 18B work? Which adapters do I need for foams? Motor Mounts?18B?

hop ups...most from the other platforms work t,b,or mt.....
the r uses front(shorter) shocks all around....
adapterwise you need shallow adapters the rc18r axles are shorter than the others.....
as far as motormounts whatever fits in the other platforms will work on the r.
