Hey Guys,

I just set up a 18r with a C4 9200kv and an Apogee 2 cell Lipo. WOW!! The car is incredible! About 2 years ago, I set up a 18t that clocked 83mph with a 3 cell Lipo and a Mamba 8000kv on 1/10 tires. However, the C4 has alot more kick and is alot more fun!!

I must admit though, I am very dissapointed that after the 4th time around, AE still has the crappiest steering setup still on these cars!! My servo lasted all but about 10 minutes of runtime before completely breaking down! I am planning to drop a 65MG to fix this problem once and for all!!

According to Proline they're looking into some onroad bodies for the 18R.

Are the arms on the 18R different from the arms on the 18t? I am sure they are. I just ask becuase I have the arms and shock towers on order for my 18T from RPM

The arms, dogbones, turnbuckles, and stub axles are all shorter on the 18R

I just switched out my std. receiver out with my spektrum. Now when I turn the car on I only have steering and no throttle. When I turn the car on with me pressing the set-up button at the same time. The lights flash and I have throttle control. When I turn the car off, I need to do it (turn on w/setup button being pressed) when I turn around and turn it on again. Any thoughts or ideas? What is a good servo to replace the stock one with?

Not that I know of..

When I was running the Xray M18 I just bought another ball-diff and added a mixture of CA and Shoo-Goo rather than diff-lube.. .. Works just as good, probably lighter.. and possibly cheaper..

Gonna try the same for the AE 18R.. Should work..
