Moy everywhere I called said the R stuff is on back order. Whats up with that? Gizzmos has a bunch of stuff coming in you should call Carol and reserve some stuff while it lasts
I found some foams made by a company called BSR Racing Tires. They are the foams for the 18T.
The offset is 5mm wider than the stock R rim, but the rim is a bit smaller in diameter so no foam needs to be trued off to get them under the body.
I just cut out the wheel wells a little and allowed enough room for the shocks to work. They hook up fine.
After running it today, I will be going back to rubber. I run on an outdoor asphalt track and the foams worked functionally good. The grip was not quite what I wanted. They would probably work great on carpet.
Rubber seems to be alot more consistant and predictable outdoors.
I JUST GOT A 18R,AND ITS FUN TO DRIVE SO ANY TIPS AND ADVICE ARE WELCOME.I'M LOOKING FOR A TRACK AND A CLUB,SO IF YOU KNOW ANY IN
McHENRY COUNTY IN ILLINOIS OR WALTWORTH CO. IN WISCONSIN LET ME KNOW.
hello,
I have an 18R and I race on a small local carpet track.
If I were to replace the stock servo with a differant one, would it improve the steering of the car? if so, what are the recommended servos that people would suggest that are a drop-on replacement and are not too expensive?
The rules at my track are that I can change anything, except the tire and I must use a closed-can brushed motor.
There have been several instances of people "frying" there stock motor. Is there a recommended motor that meets the closed-can brushed requirement that would be a good replacement?
