I used two shock o-rings for limiters in the shocks, Modified the stock sterring rack as per instructions on www.competitionX.com, Reconfigured the stock battery pack to a stick pack layout to allow battery position adjustment(front to rear), And my front diff is Med. tight and the rear diff is loose.

Still waining for adjustable camber links

Thank you for the setup but i have a Q about the o-rings in the shocks is there another way to take the droop out or is this the best way!!

It's the easiest way. But you could also cut some rubber fuel tubing and slide it around the shocks shaft instead. Just make sure that if you do the tubing instead that the tubing is cut to the same lengths or the car will not sit level.

To the best of my knowledge 0-rings or something similar (cut fuel tubing, plastic spacers) are the only way to adjust droop on the 18R.

Dan, My LHS has the dogbones/outdrive springs in stock.

Google T&T Hobbies - Plano TX. Ask for Joe (owner) or Jason. I am sure they can mail some to you.

Could you be more detail in the tubbing method!

I have the o-rings and it works fine, fill the shocks all the way and invert them when you install them cause they leak. Stock springs with 25

The stock o-rings work fine but they seem to stick a little when the shocks are compressed, silicone o-rings won't swell like rubber ones do, and builds a smother shock.

Here's a pic from http://www.competitionx.com/Support_Pages/18T.html on how to adjust the droop. For the fuel tubing instead of the o-rings just cut the tubing and put it in place of the o-rings.

As far as leaking shocks go... try this for a fix. I swear by it. It's been 8 months or so and still no leaks in any of my RC18's.

Are there any stock pre mounted wheel/tires for the 18R or do we have to mount them?

Dan - the only ones I have seen are the black and whites wheels with the stock tires already mounted and glued.

Thanks BB that is what im looking for... I talked to AE today and most of the R parts are back ordered because of some sort of auto entry computer glitch. I was told it would be a few weeks before things got back on track.

I have about wore out my tires!
