scroll down this forums page and look for "vendetta BL motor reviews pros/cons" that should help
but if you want a brushed motor just stick with the VR3

Which motor for the Vendetta ?
You might try a lipo battery rather than a new motor, the lipo will seem like a new motor. I run a stock Vendetta on a small indoor track with lipo's and run with the modified boys with this setup. Last winter I won the offroad mod class with a stock detta and lipo battery. Make sure you have proper lipo charging equipment!!

well for what he is askingfor,,,I doubt that adding a lipo will be sufficient..... for a small 18thscale track yes,,but he asked for a torque/speed monster
my guess is that he wants to go fast
the neu 1105/1.5y with the flightpower evolight2s lipo and a mamba 10th scale sidewinder would be the ticket
but it all depends on where and what u want
small track add lipo to stock
larger track use a 28mm brushless motor with a 3.2mm shaft
for a 10thscale track,,, ammo 3900kv or 5100kv or the NEU motor
for bashing ,,, whatever will make u happy

Actually I would agree with Airshot. The stock 1100mah batteries are terrible. Add a lipo first as it will give the stock motor a big boost. A lipo is comparitively cheap and it will make a big difference to the car's performance. Make sure you use a good battery connector such as a Deans connector and make sure you stop immediately when the lipo battery loses it's power as the stock ESC does not have a lipo low voltage cut off.
Then, when the stock motor dies consider either the pro brushed motor or at that point a brushless system.
Most 28-29mm brushless motors work extremely well in the Vendetta but it's best to get one with a 3.2mm shaft so you can use Tamiya pinions.
Lower KV brushless motors (in the range of about 4000KV) are very well suited to the Vendetta. With the right gearing they are very fast, enough to race with. I use a Neu 1105/2.5Y.
If you are seriously planning on racing it outside on 10th scale tracks then a higher KV motor such as a 6800 would be better. Jae I think uses a Neu 1105/1.5Y which is insanely fast.

Or you could stick with the stock motor, bump up the timing and get yourself some good NiMH cells. The IB1600s would be my top choice.
