Default Battery assembly jig for Micros

Getting ready to assemble some GP1100/IB1200 cells. Does anybody make an assembly jig for these?

Thanks,

Scottrik

I just run a small bead of Shoe-Goo between the cells, place them against a square form and wait for the Goo to set. Then I gently clamp the pack in a B&D workclamp (a vise would do also) to solder the bars onto the cells.

Perfectly aligned and soldered packs every time.

No doubt there are several ways to get the cells lined up, etc. I've just always liked the little tang/clamp on my Deans jigs for holding the battery bar in place while soldering.

Thanks though,

Scottrik

Just pre-tin the bars and cells and use a screwdriver or X-acto knife to hold it down while applying the soldering iron and you're done. Very easy.

Undoubtedly...and I have done this.

My question remains, does anybody make a construction jig for the smaller batteries? I am aware there are myriad ways to skin this particular cat...I would like a jig if one is made.

Thanks,

Scottrik

When I need to solder packs together but dont have a jig handy I just use two blocks of wood and rubber bands. Make sense or do I need to attach a pic??
