Hi Guys

I've got an Anderson MB4 which is basically a Vendetta buggy by another name. i have an Orion brushless motor that has a 2mm shaft.

Does anyone know if anyone makes .6module pinions with a 2mm centre hole ?

Default .6 module pinion with 2mm shaft

Heavy,
unfortunately no, much to the frustration of many vendetta owners.
Two options,
a sleeve............ adapting Duratrax alu pinions w/ 2.3mm shaft, (or 3.2mm shaft steel robinson pinions)

or
....... adapt an rc18 spur to fit onto a vendetta spur.

hope that helps m8

That's not good news. Guess I'll have to look for a motor with a 2.3mm shaft - should have researched the whole thing a lot better. So used to 1/10th where virtually every motor / pinion fits everything. Boring, another time period where I can't run the 1/18th.

Suppose I could take the easy way out and put a brushed in.

If you're going to start again with a new motor; I'd recommend the Novak 380 10.5 ...excellent all round performer, and it comes with a 3.2mm shaft so your 1/10th pinions should be a direct fit.

Hate to say it but those smaller 20mm BL motors with 2mm shafts don't have enough guts to power a MB4 without overheating. I'd suggest looking into a 370 or larger BL motor with a larger shaft diameter that gives you more pinion options and won't overheat running the car.

370 motors are really to same as 280s or 300s......That being said, they're BL counterparts (ie....mambas, C4s and the like) are 180s. Just some clarafication.

You can run a Mamba in a vendetta, though I would not recommend it as you'll have to gear it way, way down in order to keep from the aformentioned overheating (not to mention cogging) issues.

Atomic used to or still does make .06 mod pinions with a 2mm hole, but your best bet for finding those is from HK.

Kinda on a different note, but if anyone ever wanted to run a VR3 in an AE or losi........I stumbled across these a while ago.

Now I'm confused, I thought the number had to do with can size.
I have 280, 370 and 380 brushed motors and (using digital calipers) the 370 is a little larger and the 380 is a lot larger, just like 540 motors are larger yet.

A Mamba in an LRP S18/DuraTrax Vendetta Graphite Chassis Set (yet to be released) could work...

I really should've said that they are generally the same size...280s and 300s are about the same diameter, whereas (as you said) the 370 is slightly larger.
There really hadn't been a market for motors other then 540s in cars until mini vehicles hit the shelves.
Aircraft motors are basically grouped as 300s, 400s and so forth. 280s and 370 are really 300s and 380s are 400s.
Dimensions may vary slightly from one manufacturer to another as well.

Atomic now appear to only make 2mm pinions in 48 pitch not .6 module

this pinion should fit :48 pitch AND .6 module to suit 2mm shaft; (which is what you are looking for)

48 pitch and .6 mod are not the same - I tried a 48p pinion and the noise alone confirms this.

I checked with Atomic and they only make 48p in 2mm shaft size.

I bought a motor with a standard 1/8 shaft so I can use the standard 1/10th size pinions.

Thanks for your help everyone.
