I'm about to jump into an 18B Factory Team.... I'm going to take the electonics out of a 2nd. 18R that I am going brushless with. I want to stay brushed in the 18B cause im going to run it on our off road track.
My question is on the Reedy 17T motor reccommended above.... I looked at it and seen that there is a 19T as well. I am not up on electric motors at all, and I know 17T is faster than 19T. Which would be the best brushed motor for my application? I want to be able to drive the car in the dirt without it going in circles every time you jump on it.

I did a little research on those motors, and am interested myself. The Reedy mini mod motors are 17 and 19T. The stock esc can handle a motor at 16T but that is pushing the envelope.
You have to consider the size of the wheel/tire that you will be running, as that may bog the car and cause surges to the motor which may damage it.

I am planning on running the 19T in my FT 18B. Its a fast torque'y motor and is well within range of the stock esc.

me personally if offroad racing is what it is forthen I would have gotten the vendetta,,,,, steering on it is 100 times better and there are only a FEW things you need to bullet resist the detta in comparing it with the rc18...

since you have the rc18 ,, look into getting a quark pro car esc and a mamba 6800 motor ,,, also mini inferno proline wheels with proline crime fighters,,,, wide arms and mini-t shocks and play with shock oil...

btw what size track is it
