I'd say you can relax for a bit. You must have good eyesight. Small cars dissappear quick especially at that speed.

Hi guys, just going to get a Sportwerks 1/14 Recoil Pro ARR Spashett Edition from Amain..have loaded the cart full with spares etc...

Any troubble with the ball diffs?
CVDs?

Any "must" mods upgrades" that must be done before running this one ?

Have only seen Yellow springs, and "silver"

Any week points of this car? and if so, what can i do to get it better.

For REAL huge tracks (like my home track) any idea for motor/esc and lipo ?

best regards Thomas

shouldn't need any upgrades if you're getting the Spashet version, but you need to know the rumours that Horrizon are dropping sportwerks, so if you haven't bought one allready, it might be an idea to get the Carisma GT14 Pro instead, which is basically the same car, with a different manufacturers name on it, but made in the exact same factory.

When you get it, check the chassis to see if it's crooked.

The recoils are still alive in the market, or died due to sportwerks closing ?

thanks,

Pat

The thing is that im seting up a micro racing class, and our main choices (will be a mono-brand class) are :

- XRA M18
- Asso 18R
- Recoil 1/14

But im afraid of mounting all this in my country and after 1 year not being able to support the cars,

any opinion ?

BTW : Where can i get the web address of CARISMA RACING ?

thanks,

Pat

I would say the 18R's are going to be your best bet. The RTR 18R has better quality electronics than the recoil (mainly the motor), and parts are very plentiful. There is also a TON of aftermarket for them. Id say go w/ the 18R for a spec class.

Not sure on the carisma site, sorry

I have mine over 100MPH. You can check it out on youtube. Type in Rc recoil and it should be the first video on the list.

What ESC and motor are you using? I'm thinking of running a Tekin RS with a small brushless motor but, need to know which motor I should run.

I've been running a Novak Micro GT with a Carisma 380 but, that's just barely about stock speed.

Any ideas.

Are there any aftermarket bodies for the Recoil? I'd love to have a VTA style for it, over the touring style body.
