I am planning on putting a 3900kv ammo with 1/10 mamba sidewinder esc in my recoil. I will be mainly running 2c lipo.

If I run with the tallest stock gearing (smallest spur, largest drilled pinion), what top speed can I expect?

Also, does anybody know what is the ratio of the ball and geared diffs? If I have this I can possible calculate the expected top speed myself(?)

I don't race, but here's what I use:

Purple foams (45 shore) all around.
4 degree caster blocks.
Front: 40wt oil, mounted in outside holes on tower (stand up), 0 camber.
Rear: 30wt oil, inside holes on tower (lay down), 0 camber.

14/58 gearing with 7cell Nimh, stock E370 motor. It handles like it's on rails on a concrete tennis court.
Hope this helps as a starting point.

Default Ball diffs have metal ring gear?

Hi,

Do the standard Sportswerks ball diffs have steel or plastic ring gear?
What about the pinion diff gear? Does the pro kit have metal or plastic gear?

Does anyone know if these are the same size, (wheelbase), as the ABC Genetic - and, if so, how does it stack up against a Genetic? Any preference?

they are both plastic, but trust me, you dont need metal. 8k with a 3s lipo, and the gears are still intact.

The car comes with optional servo mounts for larger servos. They lack the offset of the stock mounts. You can mix them (one offset one not). This covers 3 different size servos. I would recomend getting rid of the hs81. They are notorious for inaccurate centering. Airtronics, JR and Futaba all make high quality 1/12 scal servos that are perfect for the Recoil. Some come with mounting tabs that allow bolting to the chassis without other mounts. You can also shoegoo the servo to the chassis. If you do this, clamp it and allow to set up overnight before using.

The Genetic is larger. Listed as a 1/10 mini (whatever that means).
The dimensions are; length; 382, width; 160 and Wheelbase of 208mm.
