Thinking about getting a recoil and was wondering who makes foam tires for it.

It's about darn time I found this thread.

I'm looking for aluminum hop-ups, anyone off the top of the head making them, or am I S.O.L.?

I just got mine in a trade and there's a new track opening up and I haven't had the best relationship with horizon in the past.

Any and all help appreciated

What's the specific reason to put aluminum on a Recoil?

Just wondering.....

Tell Schumacher to create and market a 1/14th scale 4WD vehicle to compete with the Recoil at about 170 US dollars (January 2008 exchange rate) and I'll buy two or three.

Can I get a free T-Shirt?

If you want to spend money on your Recoil:

Foam tires
Ball Diff's
Motor
Steering servo.

The only part I usually find myself replacing after a bad hit are the hinge pin mounts. Keep a pack or two in your box, they are like $3 a bag.

I also like the CVD's because they save me a lot of time looking for dog bones.
The Recoil really is a tough car and most of the guys I race with don't break theirs.

Adam,
I set and talked a long time with Robin at dinner one night at the IHOBBYEXPO and it for the most part was about micros and minis....Great conversation and thoughts come from it.....As for aluminum parts for the recoil, there are only the ones that come with the Pro as of yet.....Motor mount, drive shaft, turn buckles and shocks, no after market yet......What and where is this track opening in Florida? I guess it will be somewhere around the Tampa area?
See you and Shawn at Snowbirds....

The track is set to be in west Tampa (right down the street from my house) which is why I'm so stoked about it. Plus its indoor carpet and I grew up on that, always a plus here in Florida cause its air conditioned.

I don't remember if you guys went to dinner with Robin when I was there or not??? I think we talked later on though....either way you'll probably see Shawn during the week and me on the weekend (some has to run this place)

We just got my son one of these for Christmas. Besides some newbie problems it's been a good car. He loves it. I was thinking about getting one to run with him.. Is the pro worth the extra money?

And I found these carbon parts if anyone interested. Maybe it was this thread sorry if repost.
