It is the red connector (black & red wire) the white connector hooks up to a balancer. Never use the white connector for charging.....

I got the same LiPo and have been having issues charging. I called Horizon Hobby and they told me the short leads are used for charging, but not all LiPo chargers use the circuitry inside the battery. They told me I can charge it with my ICE charger by using the longer leads, but neither of the leads will give me a full charge in the pack.

What am I doing wrong? Please advise, I don't want to ruin it or worse.

Thanks,
Troy

I'm using the Duratrax ICE Charger set to LiPo, 7.4v, 1900mah, charging at 1.8a with a temp cutoff at 112 degrees F (which it never gets to). Any ideas?

use the red (HPI) connector with the ice......
The white plug has leads that go to each individual cell this works w a balancer to ensure each cell is being charged properly. Some balancers interface w a charger. I charge my lipos packs with the ice using the power leads (red conn) and I always get a full charge and the packs work awesome. Just remember lipo packs dont tolerate wrong settings......
when you say you dont get a full charge.....remember unless the lipo is drained to 6.0v you will not take a full charge.

Thanks for the help. I also have a LiPo 7.4v 1500 Cellpro and have had no problems charging it with the red connector on the ICE. The Cellpro LiPo works great.

The 1900mah Dynamite LiPo just doesn't perform after charging. The charging time is only like 5 minutes, so it's apparently pretty "full" in capacity or it's false peaking. But when I put it in the car, it has no punch to it and the run only lasts a few minutes of poor performance using high kv brushless motors. I've tried C4 9200kv and a Mamba 8000kv motors thinking maybe it's the motor, but the same result. For reference, I'm using the Mamba 25 ESC.

I know of guys that can run three 5 minute races on one charge (they may have a different LiPo). Any ideas on why this is happening?

Troy

Your welcome. The Dynamite pack most likely will benefit from a balancer. I cant say for sure but one cell in the pack may be charged and the other is not....(imbalanced cells) Do you happen to know the C rating of the pack?
Lower C ratings 10 and below usually give poor performance with BL set ups.
Remember not all Lipos are rated for high discharge amps. 15c and above is what you need for the Mamba to come alive......
