I hope not, because that's way too much. $150-$170 is a lot more reasonable.

The universals looks like the originals- just the new hex fits onto the unis the way the rim hubs used to. Is that correct? That would be the way to go- just buy the new hex adaptors and rims.... I hope!

Mike R.

No,the universals are slightly different. They have a "[]" slot versus a "D". The hex portions are only available with the new universals AFAIK.

You like to contradict yourself too, don't you?

By the way, it's arguing, not argueing. Scaple is spelled Scalpel.

True, I nagged about it. While all the hop-ups they added + the basic kit makes it worth up to $200, no one is going to pay $250 for 1/18th scale kit. Same for the Scalpel, if it was over $200 I would've waited and got a used one. One of the things that really perks me about Xray is their parts and hop-ups are expensive. There are some parts on that car that costs almost half of what the regular kits costs. The most expensive part on the Scalpel is the Chassis itself, at a $32 listed price.

Just remember that x ray makes all parts in house. The cost of manufacturing in small quality batches costs way more than Chinese contract manufacturing. That is why X Ray costs more money. If you have ever assembled an x ray you can appreciate the quality and I do belly ache over the cost but the quality is there.....
