This should be a great new class. RC Madness has worked hard to come up with great new classes for all types of 1/18th scale vehicles. I hope to be at the nationals to support all the scalpel drivers.

Hey BigB11, does RC Madness actually exist? They seem to have no physical address on their website, their forums are down, there isn't even an email address I'm going to be in Rhode Island next month (only about 80 miles away) and plan on bringing a couple R/C cars with me and was hoping to race. They do have directions, but they don't mean anything to me since they are all relative to people who live there (exit 49 is mentioned, I have no idea what road counts as exit 49 on the map I'm looking at)

Also, do they run 1/10 4wd buggy?

Um, yes we exist.

First, big props to BigB11 for the shout out.
We are in Enfield, CT. If you click on the YAHOO map link under directions it tells ypu the address. I will get with the shop owber and tell him to put the address on the first page.

Are there any better tires for the scalpel yet?...

I've been doing a bit of running on tarmac at my local track and the front tires last about 1 race... they are cheap enough but buying out of the U.S. is a pain as I am living in Australia and the freight charges are woeful at best

TRC used to sell donuts for the MRS4. These mount perfectly on the Scalpel wheels & last about a hundred times longer (grip better too). Naturally, they were discontinued. Ask around, some stores may still have some.

to answer your question, we are working with a foam tire manufacturer to produce a better tire for the scalpel. we may start with pink, purple, blue and grey compounds. we hope to have these availible soon.
