I know These guys have optional motormounts for brushless motors. Shoot email to Leo and he will help with it.

Do you have any idea how fast is stock motor? Could you compare it with Mamba?

I'd like to know if i have any chance in race with stock motor in Scalpel against 4wd Micro X-ray with Mamba and 5 or 6 cell on large Medium size carpet track?

If you are going to be racing against others I'd spend time driving the car and learning how to adjust it's settings to make the car's handling and speed better before I would worry about batteries. Any 2/3AA NiMh will be fine for now.

I have IB1200's in ours.
