Will Robitronics come out with a Tweak Station for the Scalpel? Anyone else?

I've already got one...four miniature digital scales. Really, you could do it with two as long as you created a pad (or pads) of the same height as the scales for the rear tires to sit on.

The scales are pretty commonly available on e-Bay for $20-25 each. I use mine on 1/12, 1/10 pan and Touring, and now the Scalpel.

All comes down to what you're willing to accept..."that's probably close enough" or "dead-nuts on". If playing with pocket change entertains you, go to it. My solution is demonstrably more accurate. It is also a good bit faster to execute. I don't know about your club, but if you're racing a couple classes at OUR club you've got to minimize the time you spend on "routine operations" between heats.

Would anyone be interested in a Scalpel Foam Car stand? It would probably look just like this except Scalpel-Sized.

PM Me to let me know and I'll see if I can get my guy to make them.

Lifting the car with blades or pocket change, does little to help in setting tweek. To do it right, you must have all 4 tires supporting the chassis weight. Tweek stations or scales get the job done.

scalpel scalpel and scalpel......

here is my impression of the scalpel car.

1) when I saw that car for the time in picture and video and I wanted one because I like the feeling of 1/12 pan car and I was guessing that 1/18 scapel will be the same.
2) I did not read all of that topic but I have heard that it is a fragile car. You have to add a bumper and back wing.
3) I was at the ECCC championship race in Montreal and there were 6 scapels. I was able to take a look at them (did not drove one) and the desing is great or pretty similar to a 1/12 pan car.
4) however on the track, I was not impress at all about the driving of this car. It was jumping all around (the track was really smooth or maybe not enought for scaple???), hard to stay on a straight line.....and those driver where not beginner driver
5) so my conclusion is: that car is not for me and the hope that I had for this car is now pretty low. I just hope that the design or hopup part will be available to make that car more ''driveble''

maybe I'm wrong but this is my opinion base on waht I have saw last weekend

I'm sure when/ if the exotic foam compounds come out and people have time to learn the car, that will change as far as handling goes.
