here's some pics of my new dtx vendetta. its got a LRP Quantum Comp.2 spektrum dsm, aluminum steering knuckles, axles and outdrives. i also advanced the motor timing(BALLISTIC FAST) and wired the red servo wire to the fet lead of the esc to make the steering response alot faster than stock. after the mods i'm not sure that i need to get a brushless anymore, but we'll see.

wat exactly does that steering mod do?......can u do it with a brushless esc?...wat are the advantages?
Heres my 18B with Reedy 17t mini mod and 13 tooth Robinson Racing Pinion. This setup really surprised me the first time I hit the throttle. Much faster than I expected for a brushed motor setup.

What Biz has done is bypass the bec in the speedo, sending full battery voltage to the servo. Stock servo is a super slow standard servo. Way I see it, got nothing to loose! If it blows, so what!
Mini sized servos work nice in the 'detta'.

YOU ARE CORRECT SIR! it just speeds up the servo transit time. one of my friends has had his wired directly to the pos. battery terminal of his speedo for quite some time with no problems at all so its a safe mod and duneland is right if it blows SO WHAT i've got several servos better than this one and it'll give me a reason to buy a micro servo. but from what i've seen it wont blow.
PROUDSAVAGEOWNR yes you can do it with brushless just pull the pos. wire out of the plug that goes to the reciever and connect it to the pos. lead of your battery. serves the same function as what i did.
