Ok fellas, I think I'll be going to a carpet oval race soon. What are all the choices for foam tires. Did I hear someone say 1/12 doughnuts will fit the wheels? Or that someone sells them already premounted?

And also, the 15C lipo I bought works excellent in the little truck. I was worried it would be to small a discharge rate, but it works excellent in my truck with stock motor.

Hi.
I got the package yesterday.
Finished building it too.
But my motor (5200kv eZrun)
I've seen videos of everybody ballooning they're tires.
Mine doesn't.
I don't know aproxx the speed.
But it don't seem to go over 30 mph.
I set throttle and so on, so it goes fast enough to start with :P
I will buy a 12t motor later (18t now)

It runs very nicely and smooth.
I had very bad luck (well, actually my friend had very bad luck) , my chassi and damper broke. So I ordered the 3Racing graphite chassi and a rebuild damper kit.

It took easy wheelies, and didn't have any turbolag or other problems.
With the wing installed it's really easy to control, both on the ground and in the air.

I really love this car, its by far the most fun car I've had so far.
(other cars I had/have:
Team Losi Muggy (Haven't breaken in yet )
Team Losi Mini-Lst2
Mini-z Mr02
Mini-z AWD
Team Losi Micro-t (Don't have anymore)

It might not be ballooning the tires like you expect because of the gearing, and/or the tires may not be broken in and softened up yet. Glad you like the vehicle

Yes, I really liked it
I don't really care if it was ballooning, I just thought that mine was slower than everyone elses
It goes fast enough for me for a while.
If it starts to get a bit slow, I'll go for a 12-14t motor so I can stick with the ESC I have now.

Has a lot to do with the battery pack to. An old or abused nihm wont work as well as a new lipo.

Just a note for anybody using the dp steering link..
I had to just graze the holes that go around the ballstud so the steering woudln't bind like crazy. Barely took any doing with a dremel/carbide bit at slow speed. Just keep checking and make sure the seat of the ballstud can fit thru easily. Don't go to far or you will end up with the slop you originally wanted to eliminate.

I also ground away the bottom of the top chassis brace where the draglink goes underneath to give it plenty of clearance. I put some shoe goo on the top to stiffen it back up.

The draglink made my car not have enough steering throw as well. I had to take it back off and grind the bottomside middle at each end at an angle. No big deal, but at first I couldn't find why it was limiting the steering, mostly only turning to the left. So on the right side of the draglink is where most of the problem is, it hits the servo saver/horn. I'm using the hitec servo and saver setup, so I don't know if this is a problem with the ae setup or not. But I'd guess it probably is.

Once everything was fine tuned like this, the whole setup works excellent. Other than the servo, I'm not to impressed with the hitec servo at all. Will be sending it in to be looked at and probably getting a futaba or airtronics soon.

got another tip the bearings on the 18t can be drained of oil easaly by puting them it a bag with wd40 shake the bag and that takes the grease out then remove the dirt seal on the inside of the bearing they will roll a LOT better try it.

Or you could just remove the seal and blast the grease out with motor spray or something similar and re lube with a lighter lube of your choice. I don't recommend running bearings without seals unless you just live to replace bearings. They will spin free enough by removing the grease and re lubing with a lighter lubricant without severely compromising the life of the bearing by running them without seals.

If you run Higher Kv brushless motors and 3s LiPo or you just hate to do tedious maintenance then leave grease and replace the bearing as they wear out.

i run carpet only and leave one seal on and the other on the inside so no dirt gets in i lube them with wd 40 all the time.
