Been there too buddy. I think most can relate to a bad night of racing. With me its hit or miss. Either nothing goes wrong or nothing can go right some nights.

Yep hit or miss here. First 2 rounds were perfect, setting lap records and such. Oh well!

My worst luck was with my gt2 first time out with it. All geeked to finally get to run the thing and at the first FTMS points series race as well. Dang truck didn't finish a qualifier. So had a lap on the field in the B-main for a certain bump and 5 minutes to go I land a jump and the flywheel hits a rock and stalls the engine. With the big lead shouldn't be a problem, but my pitman had taken off by then and taken my bump box with him since it was all but over. So by the time some guys started it in reverse off a revo box I lost the lead. Then started it with the engine going the right direction I was a lap down. Made up the lap but couldn't take the win or bump. The rest of the season just wasn't the same after that.

Had another similar race where my PT ended the race electrical taped to the outside of my body. lol That was a fun one. Heard people laughing about the taped up truck afterwards.

Picked up a set of BSR foams for my 18T last week. Best thing I ever did for the handling of my truck. Makes the Losi foams look like garbage on the track.

The BSR foams are nice and work great on dirt oval because they soften up really well.

I really like the BRPs tires for carpet, the dual compound front tires can't be beat. Also with the dual compound front there's no need to glue the outside edge.

Both Bsr and Brp use the same wheel and are the same size, both are relatively small and narrow, like a true racing foam should be.

The mini t tires are hard and have a fair amount of rubber in them. They are also very tall and wide. These really need trued down and narrowed just a bit to make them track worthy IMO.

The Parma foams are also tall and wide but the biggest issue I had with parma is the wheels tend to be a little weak, the foam is decent though.

I haven't tried Team Scream or T&M yet...

Correct me if i'm wrong, but those foams that are mentioned seem like they are only for offroad, race settings.

any great, long lasting tires that i can buy just to bash with in the grass and down the street? Im waiting for some dirt hawgs to come in.

+1 to trerc

BRP's on the 18R, BSR's on the Vendetta, can't go wrong

Got a 0 degree rear hingepin mount put on, still looks like it has maybe .5 degrees or so of toe-in total, but it is waaay better than it was stock (3 degrees I think?). Also the rear hubs had some play in them so I put a 2.5 mm washer on the hingepin to tighten it up just a hair and it worked wonders.

@ asthmatic I did have a set of Losi Street Treadz that I bashed with and I loved it. I beat the hell out of them and they didn't seem to wear real bad. They gripped enough to get me through grass and did good for most other surfaces (great on asphalt of course). Something to consider

Call me crazy but I believe that the all of the foams mentioned that I have run only come in pinks or purples or a combination of the 2. I know the BRPs are purple rears with a purple/orange front, Those being the only foams that aren't solely pink or purple and only available in pink or purple.

I also know that the Associated foams are greens and that T&M offer 18t foams in magenta, purple, greens and blues. but I haven't ran those, as mentioned I have no opion as I have not ran them.

So there's no confusion...
DISCLAIMER
Not all foam tires are created equal one mans pink tire may be harder or softer than another mans pink tire, choose your tires wisely!!!

And if you run pink up front prepare for some traction roll, especially double pink

Hell I did some traction rolls with my BRP's Saturday and I only doped the inner half of all 4 tires. The track got SUPER sticky. I had been doping them the same way on Wednesday and it worked great. ARG

Yep, Better get out the clear nail polish on the pinks. I never dope the RF usually start out doping the other 3 and by the end of the night doping only the left side tires. I too run the BRPs.
