So an 11 volt lipo won't toast the gears anytime ya hit the throttle?

Well I got some 3racing shocks coming off flea bay. I didn't want to upgrade the car much, especially before I even have it in my hands.. But plastic shocks just won't cut it for me. The gear cover and some pinions are on the way also. I've wanted one of these cars since they came out. But I could never justify one b/c I spend so much time with my bigger cars and racing. Well racing will be coming to a screeching halt quickly and I needed something to play with around the house : ) Can't wait till summer and my nieces come over!

As far as lipos go.. Is it really necessary for these little trucks to have a 20C lipo batt? Will a 10C be enough or will I be wasting my time?

Next question is will a 1/10 scale esc like a LRP quantum 2 work with these little motors? Or will it put to much juice out and toast it? I've got alot to learn about these little things. Kinda makes rc a little more interesting again now.

You will need a LiPO with at least 20C, anything less you'll end up beating your head against the wall.

But what you don't need is a 3S pack, unless you plan on doing nothing but speed runs.

If I go brushless, do I need to change the gearing? Any recommendations?

I run a Mamba 6800 in my MT and 10/60 is great. It hardly gets warm and has more then enough speed to pull double backflips.

Yes, and yes.

I would recommend a metal gear servo though , so you can tighten the servo saver.
