I'm thinking that this is the only way to go... The Baja is freakin crap!!!!! I mean I just can't get over how hot it gets... Damn rip off crap!!!!!

The car looks so good but it just goes like crap!!!! It has really turned me off the car... If I didn't buy the bling for it I'd have sold it already.... Too much coin spent on it but... Mind you if I got offered the right money I'd probably take it...

Is there any good brushed motors out there that are decent?

yeah im greek too..... lol if u want add me on msn... king.alptzhow.gona.kill.u@hotmail.com

i got me a novatech 4517 speedy and himaxx 5400kv motor and a hs81 hitec servo for my mini t around 3 hours ago...lol its gona be ere either friday or monday.... i just cannot wait!!!

for the motor i think the reedy mini max modified is good....havnt tested it tho..

i got the same prob and went through like 13 motors in 2 days .. like 4 packs and 13 motors GONE....so i just went brushless...got sick of replacing em lol

That's the one I was thinking of. The 6800. I read that the 8000 or what ever it is is fairly out of control but the 6800 is just right for great speed and controlability. 20-25mins with the standard packs... Holy crap!!!!!!! That's awesome!!!!

*types ad for Micro GT.... *

Again many thanks for your help and input!!! Very much appreciated!!!!

Pending how much I like this brushless I might even get one for my HPI MT...

PSO... I'll add you to MSN,

The difference between the 8000kv and the 6800 in run time is heaps, I have an 8000 and my mate has a 6800 and we both run the same packs, but I get like 8-10 mins run and he gets like 15-20 or more, both on race setting and both on IB1200 7.2 packs, the only difference is that his is crazy fast and mine is mad crazy fast .

Rocket, crabboy- The are made for the mini inferno, simple, mini pin tires, and a 10 spoke yellow rim. http://cgi.ebay.com/Kyosho-Mini-Infe...QQcmdZViewItem

Thats the white version.

Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for the complements.

Hi guys, first post here for me.

I just finished building my FT RC18T. I've got to say, in my many years in the sport, this has been the most difficult and frustrating thing to build - well at least build right. Suffice to say that now it's done, I couldn't be happier with it.

Firstly the front shocks. Did anyone else have my problem where by the springs seemed too short? Only with the pre-load collar screwed all the way down does the spring touch both ends, rendering adjustment useless. It's as though the rear springs would be a perfect fit. Not good.

Seconldly, I had to grind down the two front titanium turnbuckes (suspension arms, not the steering ones). Otherwise my camber was about 3 degrees positive on the shortest adjustment. In finding this out, I screwed the turnbuckle too far into one ball cup and so I now have one side that binds until I buy another set. Not happy. I shouldn't have to be grinding turnbuckles!

What else - well that's about it. Thanks to forums like this I have avoided any other problems I think. Eg I have shimmed the diff etc.

Please let me know if this happened to anyone else, or if I've just missed something....!

Also a question, are the wheels ok in acetone? I heard that acetone is too strong for them for tire removal. If so, is boiling them ok or is there a better way?

Any advice much appreciated.

RC18T FT
Quark 33A
Hacker E30-13L (4200Kv)
Spektrum HRS receiver
6-cell 1400 packs

PS the above setup is way fast - ok it's not an 8000Kv system, but I'm racing off-road. Using the smallest (12 tooth) supplied pinion is more than adequate for the dirt, and I'm loving it!
