luvminis - I could see your questions just fine in your post. I have both the stock AE foams and the rubber tires. I haven't tried the Parma foams. The stock foams offer lots of traction and are good. Problem for me is that it's too much traction on treated asphault tracks and causes traction roll in the corners. I ended up using stock AE rubber tires with a little CA glue on the sidewalls and they hook up nice and I avoid traction rolling when cornering hard.

I don't know of a F1 style 1/18 but it would be pretty cool. A great on road solution for the RC18 is the Exotek conversion. I can't say enough just how awesome it really is. Build quality and handling is stellar! I love my R18 and it's my favorite of the 1/18 available models and the conversion does extend the wheelbase and offers more areas to mount electronics etc to get it totally balanced F/R and L/R. It also has droop adjustment screws and requires adjustable turnbuckles which is nice for adjusting camber. The toe blocks are quality aluminum and I run the 3Racing shocks which allow great precision in ride height with threaded collars and don't leak like the AE ones do.

The XRAY is a good onroad 1/18 but is also more of a sedan. If you truly want an F1 style I think you would have to build a custom chassis as I haven't seen one yet (which doesn't mean that it doesn't exist and if you do find one post it back for sure!).

Default yep

thanks for your answers guys, i went ahead a tore out the servo and checked it out of car.. it has no throw.. maybe a total of 10 degrees to either side. So I spent a little while modding a HS-81MG and fitting her in there.. same problem, I pull it out and it has just about the same very small throw. At this point I'm thinking something must have gone wrong with my receiver so I'm gonna swap those out and see if I get any more. Thanks again!

I use the common sense 1500 2s, thunder power 1320 and the Apogee 1300? i think it is and they all fit no problem.

Then for fun I fit a common sense 3s 1600 i think it is in my 18R and then I converted it to a 18B and the battery fits, pushes the body up slightly, but its still protected.

Im running a Quark 33A, C4 9200kv, 3s 1600, street rage tires and about 28g of lead weight in the front to keep it from flipping.

And I must say its a good basher.

I use a hyperion. And B-P-P is a great place to buy from.

If I was buying again I would go w/ the 1500 or 1800mah. The 1200 is very thin so I had to add a plastic ship to the top of it so the battery bar would hold it down.

anyone know if the novak mongoose system fits in a stock rc18r? does it fit in the exotek r18 conversion?

what's the hot esc/motor setup now that the quark 33a pro car is not in production?

Can someone help me out?

i was running my lipo 18t with c4 and when i go full throttle a grinding noise comes from the rear diff area. Does that mean my gears are worn out or set too loose?

All the help is appreciated!

Im looking at getting a RC18R and wondering what the rim diameter and width is in millimeters

Also whats the mounting on the back of the rim ? Hex type like tamiya's or pin setup like the bigger RC10 stuff ?

My plan is to maybe run m-chassis rims and tyres if they are the same size, as i have found some m-chassis drift tires and hoping they will suit.

one -- find #0 or #1 phillips head screwdriver
two -- place in right hand
three -- apply said screwdriver to attachement screws holding topplate to lower chassis
four -- remove top plate
five -- look at gears
six -- etc.

What kind of runtimes do you guys get with the lipo packs in your 18T's?
Will the stock electronics hold up running the lipo power?
And what's the cheapest brushless setup I could throw in there?

Thinking of putting together a truck for my nieces. Would also be for me to play with I'm sure. lol I've always really liked the ae 18 series cars.
